was feeling nostalgic, so I re-drew this old comic, with a little twist =]

Realizing that your parent is still a traumatized kid is.. Harsh

Captions:

The comic starts with Riel, a person with their hair in a bun and a neutral expression looking at their mother, she is depicted with no face features and has curly, medium length hair

"I used to look at you and see someone who was supposed to raise me, protect me, guide me"

Riel looks down with a sad expression, his mother out of frame, as if the reader is seeing from her point of view

"But now when I look at you I see"

"You're just a scared little kid"

The mother now looks up at Riel in fear, she is a child now, her curly hair longer and her facial features returning

"We are scared little kids"

Riel and their mother hold hands, both children now, riel hair is longer than his mother's and it covers his eyes, they both have their eyes closed and touch foreheads.

I keep dreaming I adopt the Warner brothers, and I think I've got an idea why

Captions:

Yakko (an anthropomorphic animal cartoon) and Riel (a human looking cartoon) are walking, presumably talking about something, Riel looks worried as Yakko rambles

Yakko becomes more worried as his rambling continues, his fur bristling, there's no dialogue as to what he is saying

Riel puts his hand on yakkos shoulder

R: "Hey"

Yakko is in shock, and looks up at Riel, who has a worried expression on his face

R: "You're just a kid"

R: "it must be hard having all that on your shoulders"

At hearing this, Yakkos expression starts becoming upset

R: "you're allowed to rest"

Yakko finally cries, suprised at Riels words, probably being the first time he hears this
