Transformers Headcanons

Wanna yap about cybertronians? Any really specific headcanons the world needs to know? Well you can throw them at us here!

Hello and welcome to a place to dump a bunch of what this fandom is built on: headcannons! Mostly because I love world building and seeing other people world build too so I’m killing two birds with one stone and collecting them all in one place like a starving squirrel.

So this blog will be a dumping ground for my own hcs (from my own brain, fandom osmosis, and so on) and hopefully some of yours as well!

What might one submit you ask? Well here’s some suggestions:

- character headcanons (individual quirks, dynamics between characters, physical traits, etc.)

- thoughts on locations (cybertron the planet, the city states, earth, colony worlds, etc.)

- Cybertronian biology, physiology, and anatomy (T-cogs, frames, etc.)

- thoughts on cybertronian Culture

Rules:

- you can send asks both anonymous or not anonymous

- any continuity is fine but if relevant please indicate which one so I can tag accordingly

- SFW only please

- no hate or bigotry towards any groups or individuals

- it is ok to disagree with a particular take but please do not turn that into an excuse to attack or insult someone, keep it cordial

I just ask that you be patient with me as I haven’t ran a blog like this before and uh have fun. They’re giant colorful robots, it doesn’t get much more fun than that

Wheeljack somehow finds out what DnD is browsing the human internet and gets REALLY into it so he makes the science crew play it with him

He was going to be the DM but Ratchet volunteered to do it cause Wheeljack kept getting distracted, he’s surprisingly good at it

Wheeljack is an artificer because it makes sense

Skyfire is a cleric

Perceptor is a wizard

And Beachcomber somehow also got dragged into this and is a druid

Someone introduced Blurr to Sonic the Hedgehog cause they thought it would be funny

Unfortunately Blurr doesn’t actually know what makes a hedgehog a hedgehog so now he calls every vaguely rodent-like creature a hedgehog

Ultra Magnus collects mini ceramic figurines, it’s imperative that no one finds out about this (Rodimus, Springer and Arcee know ALL about this)

Ironhide is the cybertronian equivalent of those dads who carry several pictures of their kids in their wallets but instead it’s the young autobot recruits

And he shows them to everyone unprompted too 😭

Dead End gets his hands on an old medical textbook and learns how to fix his brothers up after battles

Trine leaders aren’t technically a thing it’s just the Vosian word for "guy who flies in front" got mistranslated to "trine leader" because there wasn’t a good equivalent

Wheeljack is forever hearing impaired due to all the explosions, so he built hearing aids into his head fins

Transformers associate certain personality traits with eye colors (think like zodiac signs or blood types)

Playgrounds on cybertron have go-karting like tracks so younglings can practice using their alt modes

G1!Sideswipe is mechanically and mathematically super smart- it’s just that most of the time he chooses to use this for devious mischief

Seekers will touch up the paint on their trinemate’s wings. Specifically the stripes, kind of like a braid train. When a seeker gets introduced into a trine, it’s an unofficial custom for each trine mate to paint one of the wing stripes. If a trine mate dies, the other two will paint their stripes to be their dead trinemate’s colors while in mourning

Tfa!Bumblebee listens to the Spice Girls religiously. He knows the dances, he has posters. If he could figure out a way to get them together again so he could go to a concert he would.
