idk if i plan for this blog to be "back", per se, but if any tiny sliver of my reach or influence that i used to have can ever be used again, i want it to be so i can say this:
every transmasc and trans man who's ever died from suicide was murdered, and the murderer is not just the garden variety transphobe. the murderer is everyone who has ever refused to love and fight for transmascs and trans men specifically.

i am not going to take refuge in the idea that he's "at rest" now. i am not going to accept that this was his choice. he is dead because the world killed him. his suicide was not a freely given choice, and i will not simply respect that it was his right. he should be alive.
transgender men have some of the highest rates of suicide, sexual assault, and homelessness of all LGBTQ+ groups. the transfeminist movement needs to account for this and fucking do something about it for once.

There is a HUUUUUGE gap between "transfems experience a unique intersection of oppressions which are not experienced by transmascs", which is true, "some passing trans men benefit from male privilege", which is true, "trans people are not immune to transphobic rhetoric and this can sometimes take the form of transmascs engaging in transmisogyny", which is true, and "transmascs should be treated as equivalent to cis men because trans men are men and therefore as men they are a danger to trans women" like do you see where the gigantic leap of logic comes in here?
There is something personally offensive to me about accounts that go out of their way to post about transmascs being dangerous or untrustworthy or transmisogynistic when the primary danger to trans women right now is the goddamn United States government. Like we've got people in the white house who would outlaw all HRT if given the opportunity and you're gonna post about trans men?? I don't even mean this in a "we have bigger fish to fry" sort of way I mean this is the sense that building solidarity is one of the most important things you can do when faced with a hostile government and society. It's not just that the claims being made are bullshit and transphobic it's that the whole thing feels actively self-destructive toward creating any kind of community that's of any use to anyone

i guess one of the things that really makes me want to pull my hair out is that for a crowd that insists upon invoking the idea of Material Analysis in building a transfeminist framework, and often quite successfully does so re: transmisogyny, why are we not Analyzing what makes trans manhood Materially different from cis manhood (including other marginalized manhoods). why is an acknowledgement of the literal actual real life fact that transgender men are intentionally targeted by systemic misogyny INCLUDING when they pass and INCLUDING when they're out and INCLUDING when they're generally recognized as men in society, consistently intetpreted as a claim that the person making this acknowledgement doesn't believe trans men are really men? im sorry but it just is factually Materially more complicated than that. it is not simple enough to say that if trans men are real men, their gendered class is the same as cis men. it just isn't. that doesn't make them less of men. if you think acknowledging that trans men are intended targets of systemic misogyny means they aren't real men, i gotta keep it real with you, that's coming from inside you and i think you might just not think trans men are real men. and if you know how to Analyze people's Material conditions it just shouldn't be that complicated to see that.
clarifying statement: absolutely none of this whatsoever is to imply that trans women are not intended targets of systemic misogyny. they absolutely are. all of the time, including when they're in the closet, including before they transition, including before their egg cracks, including when they don't pass. it is totally obvious that this is also factually true, and that their experiences with misogyny are absolutely NOT lesser than trans men's in ANY WAY. the facts support both of these statements at the very same time!

i didnt forget trans women exist btw. they make even less than trans men. trans women are financially and economically marginalized in a totally unique way. i just dont think that being true makes it true by extension that trans men have access to male privilege in this way, when the ruling class of both sexgender assignments makes more than them. in the case of the wage gap, my position is this: being trans is bigger than being a man here. or, it could be said that maleness is not really truly granted to these men, because that maleness is derived from gendered marginalization itself.

My brother @transfaguette went missing last Tuesday. (5/12/26) The family was left a suicide note on a hard drive similar to the one posted on this platform 2 nights ago. His last known location was Chittenango Falls, New York, our hometown. You may have seen the selfie of him standing in front of the falls. The park was turned upside down by the most qualified personnel in the state, including SWAT and cadaver dogs. Ansel is nowhere to be found. You may have seen the news reports.
We suspect he may be alive somewhere with somebody. The police have been on top of this investigation 24/7 and have gone to every length to help us. There is one major piece missing to this puzzle that we feel could provide us some answers - his online presence. If you interacted with Ansel on Tumblr, X, and specifically Discord, *please* reach out to me. Accessing this information would require dozens of subpoenas that would take months.
