Theology without practice is nothing. You must do more than realize that Jesus stood in support of the marginalized. You must also stand with him. Okay so, I genuinely don't understand why some fundamentalists and evangelicals genuinely seem to think that Jesus Christ would support capitalism??? Obviously there's all the standard verses from the Bible people pull to prove this, for example "Sell your possessions and give alms" or "You cannot serve wealth and God" or "It is harder for a rich man to get into heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle."

But also, I just got to Acts and in Acts 4:32 it says "Now the whole groups of those who were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common." And Acts 4:32 continues, "There was not a need person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what they sold. They laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need." How can someone look at this and say that Christianity and Capitalism can go together?
