Sorry kiddo, but this is their new spicy burger, you wouldn't like it :(( Van wants their Nintendo out just before bedtime? Aw, but it's sleeping right now and won't work tomorrow if we wake it up! Not Tai though. She just says "Um, I don't think so..." adorably and stares.

โ I don't think he regressed much, if at all, before the events of the bone glass
โ but then eventually a couple of nights after the case is over, and all the hurt and loneliness and confusion he'd been keeping tight breaks
โ all George knows is that the room is dark and casting creepy shadows on the wall just like in the catacombs and before he knows it, he's hugging his knees and sobbing loudly
โ Lockwood and Lucy hear this, but they hesitate outside his door and have a whispered conversation, unsure if he'd want to be left alone or not
โ but then his cries start escalating into gasping retches and Lucy goes 'im not just sitting here and listening to this' and marches straight on in
โ Lockwood follows, obviously
โ George immediately crawls across his bed to Lucy and Lockwood and throws his arms around them both
โ eventually they coax some sense out of him through lots of rubbing his back and stroking his face and shushing, and then they coax him back to sleep (having promised to keep his bedside lamp on)
โ I like to think Lockwood and Lucy end up caught in an awkward angle on the bed as George is sprawled across them both:
"I'm not sure this is quite in the recommended guide of sleeping positions after being shot."
"George is finally asleep, are you trying to wake him up? Anyway, the gunshot wound was practically your fault, who brings a rapier to a gun fight?"
"I didn't know he was going to pull a gun on me. From my perspective it was a rapier fight."
โ I think that once the bone glass is in the furnace, it does break its hold on George, BUT it's still fucked with his head so when he's regressed he gets distraught that he can't find it, and he wants to have it like it's a comfort item
โ Lockwood and Lucy's hearts nearly break when he's tearing apart the house looking for it, and they have to sit him down and say it was bad for him, it was hurting him
โ I reckon she regresses to 2 different ages > 3, and 13
โ when she's 3, her regression is usually a bit more positive, but when she's 13 it tends to be a more negative experience
โ she also tends to regress on her period as she just feels more vulnerable and more prone to being upset about things like Norrie, or her mum
โ but because 13 is quite close to 17, it can be hard to tell? Lockwood and George have to really get to know her signs for it
โ one is she'll keep running her tongue over her teeth, as she keeps expecting to find her braces there, or tipping her head back in a slightly odd way to try and mimic the feeling of her long hair on her back like she had at 13
โ another one is Lucy will roll her eyes at everything, even if she thinks it's a good suggestion
โ also tends to shut George + Lockwood out more
โ picture this: they've come back from a case and Lucy immediately kicks off her heels and stomps upstairs
โ Lockwood and George look at each other and he says "guess my double chocolate brownies are on the menu tonight then"
โ Lucy comes back downstairs and, looking like she wants to throw up from all the feeling-sharing, explains how she wants to be around them both but if they could try to keep the irritatingness to a minimum- yes you are Lockwood, all the fucking time - and yes of course I want you to make your stupid brownies George, why aren't they in the oven yet???
โ tends to gravitate more towards George when she's feeling 13, even if it is only to be in Younger Sibling Mode and ask him questions just to piss him off etc. Sometimes they (mildly and gently with no malice behind it) make fun of Lockwood together, especially if he's in the room
โ likes watching movies or her fave TV shows with them, but they have to be deadly silent and god FORBID they want to pause the programme to get themselves a drink or go to the loo
โ I think she's a lot happier when she's regressed to 3! Probably regresses to de-stress after a case and get her nervous energy out
โ really doesn't want to go to sleep if she's 3 especially after a case > it was just too exciting but also really scary! She doesn't really know what to do with herself yk

Star Wars fan Jackie at Disneyland moodboard + headcannons
โ listen guys I don't know much about star wars myself (most of my knowledge I've sort of absorbed through simple proximity to my brother) I just feel it'd be right up Jackie's street yk?
โ it's just so far away from the 'popular girl in high school' life she was living, watching it just fills her with joy!
โ even if she knows that the planets are fictional it's a reminder to her that other experiences exist outside of the suburbia she was stuck in
โ she wishes she had discovered it before the plane crash as she feels it might've helped with adjusting to the wilderness
โ anyway she's on that same trip as Nat is, with Shauna and Tai too
โ she's mostly excited to meet all the creatures/robots!!! Like Grogu and Chewbacca and R2D2 and C3PO and BB8 :D
โ but she is definitely also excited to meet Leia!
โ begged Shauna to do her hair in those famous Leia space buns in their hotel room that morning
โ poor Shauna tries her best but then eventually is all "hey, Tai?"
โ Tai and Shauna manage to get her hair looking near enough, and Jackie goes to the mirror and literally squeals she's so pleased with them
โ Shauna lightly teases "ok, but you can't wriggle too much with them in!" and Jackie takes this So Seriously
โ she's walking around like a little statue, not jumping about or flapping her arms because she's so worried about her space buns coming out!
โ Shauna notices and asks if Jackie is overwhelmed or overstimulated at all because she's being so still, but Jackie explains she's just scared her space buns will mess up otherwise
โ Tai and Shauna immediately reassure that they shouldn't fall out, they prepared for a full day of excitement, and they promise to neaten them up a bit in case any wispy bits have escaped before Jackie has her photo with Leia!
โ she near loses her mind when she sees Grogu as she LOVES him!!! Shauna will admit too that Grogu hits a very specifically tender point in her heart
โ I think the Mandalorian is how Jackie first got into star wars, as one of the other regressed yjs (Mel? Maybe Gen?) were watching it and she got so into it and binged it
โ then immediately turns around and is like 'more of this please and thankyou'
โ Jackie goes a little ham in the shop over the Grogu stuff and Shauna does have to reign her in
โ she does already have a Grogu plushie so eventually ends up some Mandalorian pyjamas and buying a lightsaber and ofc then she has to get a belt to strap it onto as how else is she supposed to carry it around?

โ why yes I AM back on the 'Nat loves the Disney princesses' train. All aboard
โ I imagine it's a group trip with cg Shauna + little Jackie (she's a tween I reckon, 9-12ish), and cg Tai + little Nat (who's about 2-3!)
โ she is SO SO SO excited like I cannot emphasise enough! This is better than birthday and christmas combined for her

โ however she probably has princesses she feels more connected with, like Cinderella, and definitely Elsa (the whole 'reluctant leader' thing really resonates with Nat!)
โ so yeah, they do queue up to meet Elsa first!
โ Nat is sooo giggly and chatty in the queue, more so than usual. It's a surprise to see her so animated, but it's a good one
โ but when she gets to the front and goes to actually meet the princess, she goes completely shy and clings to Tai's hand and hides her face in her shoulder
โ Jackie is the one who makes Nat feel braver - "Natty, we've literally queued for hours and you don't even want to meet her?"
โ Elsa is waiting patiently while this happens, and makes sure to tell Nat how brave she was and how it is scary to meet people, and that she was scared meeting all those people on her coronation day!
โ Nat has also bleached back her hair to blonde at this point and Elsa says she loves how they have matching hair
โ so rest assured the hair bleach business will never be going out of business thanks to Nat hearing this comment
โ Nat will not stop smiling for the rest of the day! She'll even fall asleep with a little smile on her lips, clutching the autograph book for dear life (many pictures are taken)
โ they go to the shop sometime during the day and Nat spends aaaages deciding what she wants (Jackie starts getting fidgety) because they have so much stuff to choose from - tiaras and dresses and cuddlies and dolls...
โ I think Nat actually gets a bit emotional in the shop because she's so overwhelmed by all the choice
โ so Tai helps to make a list to narrow it down > a tiara, a dress, 1 more expensive toy or 2 slightly cheaper toys
โ Nat gets the sleeping beauty dress and a Disney princess buildabear!
โ Nat also gets a little princess keyring to go on her personal set of keys she plays with, and Tai buys a princess-themed scrapbook to put all her pictures of the day in
โ she actually ends up getting 2 tiaras (an Anna and Elsa set) so her and Jackie can play space princesses (Jackie star wars fan up and coming!)
A/n: I never see anyone really talk about the adult timeline when it comes to regression. I have a lot of thoughts about little!Shauna but I'm nervous about sharing cause I haven't talked about adult timeline character before. Got a bit carried away. These headcanons are sad because it's Shauna. If anyone wants to hear more i'd love to write more :3
โข Shauna uses age regression as a coping mechanism whenever she feels sad, lonely, or any other emotions that feel too big
โข It's mainly involuntary, and most of the time she doesn't know when a drop is coming until she's regressed
โข She mostly regresses between 5-7, but when something has triggered her and she's particularly upset she'll regress even younger, between 2-4. Sometimes when she's around her family she'll regress to 14-16 because it's familiar to her and she can't help it.
โข She didn't want anyone to know about her regression, especially her family. When she drops, she takes care of herself, ensuring no one finds out about it. She hides her little gear in her safe, but then gets upset when she forgets where she's put them when little. Inside is a pacifier, a baby bottle, and a cat plushie. She won't allow herself to get anything else because she doesn't think she needs them (or deserves them).
โข When she regresses due to feeling lonely, hallucination Jackie will take care of her. Jackie comforts her and makes her feel better. She's everything Shauna could ever dream of. She doesn't feel lonely when Jackie's by her side, and in that moment it feels so real, like she's really there.
โข Shauna cries a lot when regressed. It'll start with a few tears, and then she'll start sobbing. And no matter how hard she tries to be quiet she can't help it when she makes loud hiccups as she tries to get her breath back.
โข Despite being so independent, Shauna doesn't really like it. She just has no choice. No one will take care of her. She learned that from a young age. Shauna Shipmanโbutcherโalways angry. She hates when she's talking to Lottie or Misty and she gets the feeling like they're scared of her. She doesn't mean to be scary she just has big emotions and finds it hard to process them.
โข She struggles to take care of herself when she regresses younger. She doesn't understand anything. She calls for Jackie and she's not there, and that doesn't make sense. Because she's her best friend. Despite Shauna not knowing Jackie when she was two, all of her memories are intertwined with her, and so no matter what age she regresses at she'll look for Jackie.
โข The first time Jeff finds Shauna regressed is late at night, after he comes home from working at the store. She's sobbing in the middle of the bedroom floor, hugging her cat plushie for dear life. Her head is buried in between her knees and she's rocking back and forth. Jeff is hesitant to approach her. He's extremely confused because he'd never seen her like that. When Shauna sees him the only word she can say is 'Jackie'. Where is Jackie? Jeff sits next to her, scratches the back of his head, and said she's not here. That makes Shauna sob harder. Jeff awkwardly rubs her back, and tells her that everything's okay. When she stops crying, Jeff wipes away her tears and tucks her into bed, where she passes out straight away. The next day, when Jeff tries to bring it up, Shauna immediately changes the subject, and they never talk about it again.
โข Jeff sees certain signs after that. Like sometimes he'll catch her staring into space while sucking her thumb. Or she'll get so angry at something so small. Or when she's cutting the meat she'll stop and rub the plastic side of the knife with her tumb in a repetitive motion that seems familiar to her. She doesn't seem like she's entirely here, rather living inside her head. Jeff doesn't know what to do so he doesn't bring it up and hope it goes away. He ignores when there's a pacifier on the bedroom floor. He pretends he's asleep when he can hear Shauna's sniffles next to him in bed. And pretends he doesn't hear Jackie's name leave her mouth.
โข The first person Shauna tells about her regression is Tai. She knows Tai will understand. And she knows she won't judge. They're having a makeshift sleepover at Shauna's because Tai can't sleep and Shauna's always said that when she can't she should come to her's because they're close to each other. Shauna feels safe and not lonely for the first time in ages. She tells her that there's some times where everything feels too big. Where her emotions are too much and too confusing and too overpowering. She can't deal with the horrible feeling of having no one. The ever-present grief. The unprocessed trauma. She tells her she'll enter a safer headspace, a younger headspace. She doesn't understand it herself, but it helps, and she's realised she doesn't think she'll be able to stop any time soon. Tai is supportive and asks questions to what will help in case she drops around her. She tells her to call her whenever she regresses or feels lonely. She doesn't take her up on that offer at first, but she soon does because she's so tired of feeling a neverending pit of grief. Tai makes her feel better. Tai helps.
โข When Shauna goes to Lottie's 'retreat', she thinks she successfully hides her regression from everyone. However, Lottie figures it out straight away. She examines that way Tai watches her closely, immediately going to her side whenever Shauna presents a slight change in emotion. She doesn't say anything because she knows what it's like.
โข Shauna experiences a lot of self-hatred, especially towards her regressed self. She hates that she's so angry. She hates that she's so sad. She hates that she struggles expressing how she feels, with it coming out in either tears or outbursts towards Jeff or Callie. She feels incredibly guilty and after an outburst, she'll refuse to allow herself to regress, instead choosing to repress it until it causes her to regress incredibly young, and the cycle begins again.
โข Shauna likes to write when regressed. Little stories or poems that don't make much sense when she rereads them when she's bigger.
โข She likes to watch cartoons that she watched as a child. Her favourite is the care bears and winnie the pooh.
Random hcs about the yellowjackets post rescue for safe and sound!
- Nat shaves her head almost immediately after getting out of the hospital. She canโt stand the grown out roots but doesnโt want to cover it up like those mouths never happened. Plus it makes her less identifiable for the media. On a similar note - Jackie cuts bangs when she gets out of the hospital, trying to reclaim some of her identity and also hide from the media.
- the doctors can tell Shauna has recently given birth as they are rescued only a few days after. She refuses to talk to anyone about it which means she is kept in the hospital for a while longer than necessary.
- Van whose mother actually shows up for the first few days. Sober, functional, and so glad her daughter is home. She kisses Vanโs face, brushes her hair, tells her how missed she was. Until day three, when she shows late to visiting hours. Then day four, when she shows with her breath reeking of alcohol, then day five when she doesnโt show at all, and day six when she calls to tell Van sheโs back in New Jersey and will see her when she gets out of hospital.
- Natโs mum calls. Thatโs it.
- they all have feeding tubes at first but Jackie keeps hers longest. Everyone is so excited for food. trying to smuggle food they arenโt ready for yet into their hospital rooms. chips, chocolates, sodas, anything they can sneak from the hospital vending machine or bribe their parents to bring. All except Jackie, who will barely touch the hospital issued food specific for slowly treating their malnourishment. Jackie, who keeps getting caught trying to give her food to Shauna. Jackie, whose mother keeps praising how beautiful she has become, how thin, how glad she is to have her perfect little girl back. Jackie who, eventually, is still on tube feeds when all her friends are beginning to eat normal food again. Who sees the cheesesteaks and spaghetti she thought she missed so badly but somehow canโt bring herself to eat.
- Lottie will only talk to Nat. The nurses come and get silence, her parents get nothing, doctors ask questions and she stares at them blankly. But then they walk in on her curled in bed with Nat talking about everything and anything.
- Melissa and Gen making a game of listing things theyโll do once they get out of hospital. Stating things as simple as buying new hairbrushes to as wild as paragliding. Filling pages and pages of outlandish dreams and roping in anyone who will offer suggestions.
- Akilahโs family always trying to cheer everyone up - home cooked meals and a smiley toddler always bringing light to their ward.
- the girls are constantly grouping in each otherโs rooms - no one is every truly alone, it doesnโt feel safe.
- tai going days with no sleep because sheโs scared what the doctors will say if they catch her sleep walking.
- Misty is constantly trying to stay busy and useful. Sheโs making someone elseโs bed, sheโs cutting Lottieโs dinner, sheโs reading Jackieโs charts, sheโs shadowing the primary care doctor. She just needs to stay wanted.
- Travis dreading every time his mum comes to visit because he is filled with guilt that he couldnโt bring his dad and brother back too.
- tiny acts of regression slipping through their โperfect survivorโ acts. Shauna clinging to the โget well soon bearโ her dad brought her. Van picking at the bandages on her face even as sheโs actively being told not to. Natโs thumb ending up in her mouth every time she falls asleep. Melissa having accidents constantly and sobbing when the nurses tell her she needs protection. Lottie refusing to walk even though sheโs physically capable.

- see I don't think Nat really has a 'theme' or a vibe to her regression like maybe some of the others do?
- like if I'm on pinterest of got quite a clear idea of what would be 'absolutely Jackie' but then I'll see a lot of different things and think 'oh that's Nat!' and 'oh that's ALSO Nat!'
- she didn't have the nicest childhood so her regression is quite cobbled together in the best way!
- she's a Disney princess girl and I stand by this, hence the bag and also probably has all the dolls in her room
- carries around her little badger family in that little pouch so they don't end up lost in the bottom of her bag!
- ADORES bubbles and a good way of staving off her bad thoughts
- noise cancelling headphones because also lowkey autistic Nat for the win icl
- obsessed with playing with keys so she has her own set with lots of funky keyrings. I like to imagine Tai gets her a new one every Christmas as like a stocking filler <3
- Nat LOVES the library and the library loves her. So of COURSE she has a library card! (Ik it says London but just pretend it says something else!)
- She never feels embarrassed curling up in the children's section, and if she's been there too long a library attendee will come stick her head round the shelf and be all 'you doing ok hon? Can I help you find anything?'
- so always has at least 3 library books in her bag too!
- little Nat loves the taste of lip balms. Don't leave them out or you WILL find teeny bite marks in it, if you even get it back at all!
- that bunny is so Nat. That's it that's the note!
- always keeps a polaroid of her and Tai with her to remind herself that people love her and care about her (โ close up!)
- the bag I thought was perfect for her! I think she LOVES teal and also hello kitty because she would have been so excited to know the girl who's dad was president at hello kitty ๐
- ok so vvv specific, but I think Jackie LOVES moths and butterflies! BUT. She's scared of them so bad + hates it when they come near her
- so she has a plush moth (apparently it's a luna moth!) and a big fact book about them
- def just a couple of shopkins rattling around the bottom of her bag
- a Dora the explorer waterbottle because Jackie really liked her as a child, and she finds the show really comforting in her regression because when they first crashed she kept telling herself she was just on an adventure like Dora was :(
- (ik the timeline does not match up for her to have watched Dora as a child but visions of Jackie curled up at night in the cabin and telling herself to be brave and curious just like Dora were Bestowed Upon Me)
- always carrying a warm hat in case it gets cold. I reckon Jackie also carries a jacket too but I forgot to put it on there :)
- ALWAYS has snacks on her. Her mum was probably like an almond mum or whatever so she loves snacks and sweet things!
- and also will absolutely share! Always going up to anyone and being "hey you wanna snack?"
- the Cadbury snowballs are a low joke but they had to go on
- the 2 kittycat keyrings are where she's matching with Misty!!! And also the my little pony
- I always hc that Jackie and Misty were childhood besties, like would be age 6 and cry if one of them went away for the weekend best friends. They were absolutely weird kids TOGETHER
- this is before Shauna moved to their high school (still repping the British Shauna agenda icl)
- I imagine that they drifted apart not for any particular reason, just in the way it happens sometimes :(
- although I can absolutely see Mrs Taylor pushing Jackie away from the Quigleys because she just didn't like them and wanted Jackie to be 'cooler'
- but my point IS that Misty and Jackie find regressing together so healing and they are building back their relationship through giggly sleepovers and bickering over the best my little pony
I saw the bag on shuffles and thought the pattern looked pretty similar to the top she was wearing at that pre-crash party and I think she'd like that!
I hc her as autistic (I've got some hcs about that here) so best believe she's got a couple of sensory toys in there! Tai loves her tag blanket and textured popits
She also has communication cards! I think she struggles to know what her body is telling her physically, especially when little, so having some cards to flip through provides a sort of visual guide to why she could be feeling a bit ick
Has a little Lego cat and dog that she keeps on her nearly all the time as they're small enough to take in her pocket even!
Though Tai usually keeps them both in that vintage-y purse that was actually hers when she was a little girl! So very nostalgic for her
Loves yoghurt snacks as they're always the same flavour, and also loves them because yoghurt/dairy items obviously weren't something they had out in the wilderness!
she loves the kitty cat notebook because it's so soft and in it she makes lots of lists about stuff she likes, or stuff she wants to change! (the politician-ing started early)
