His daughters are the light of his world, and the most important thing to protect. As any good father, all he wants to do is make sure they are safe and have enough food to eat. But because of Israel’s bombings and blocking humanitarian aid, he has been put in the position where he has to ask for help online to afford food so his family doesn’t starve. It’s every fathers worst nightmare to see his children suffer and to go hungry.

Asking for help isn’t easy, and it’s very vulnerable. Ahed is sharing a lot with us about his family and his situation, in the hopes that people will listen and help him, and he does all of it for his daughters. It becomes even more difficult when you feel like people aren’t listening to you and ignore your posts. But you can help give Ahed and his family hope and show that you are listening and care about them. Ahed and his family deserves to live and eat, just like everybody else.
