A very huge massive thank you to @captaincasey for helping me with this short story I have been so excited to write this as we are all waiting on their engagement before the season end and this is how I picture it in my world

At the firehouse, Lt. Severide had been distracted for the last couple of days and has been very distant from Stella as well as he sat at the kitchen table listening to all the chatter and Kelly excused himself from the table and walked to his office. Kelly slid into his office and closed the door as his mind was racing on the prefect proposal for Stella . Captain Casey walked into the bed bunker to see Kelly sitting there looking at his phone in his office and he lightly knocked on Kelly’s office door . Kelly heard the light knocked on the door and turned around and saw Casey standing there . Kelly walked over to the door and opened the door and walked back to his chair . Casey walked into Kelly’s office and closed the door behind him and asked him why he had been distant and distracted from the team . Kelly looked up at Casey and he said that he was going to propose to Stella and he needed some help on finding a gorgeous ring for Stella . Casey was speechless and said to Kelly that he finally settling down . Kelly nods and smiled at Casey and Kelly asked if he would like to help him find the prefect ring as Casey had the experience with finding the prefect engagement ring as he asked his girlfriend to marry him last year. Casey nods his head and smiled . They both walked out of his office and heads to the locker room as they just finshed an eighteen hour shift .

Kelly and Casey both walked out of the firehouse and they walked over to Kelly’s car and they both slid in and they heads into town . Kelly had been looking at engagement rings for a month . Kelly and Casey arrived into town and Kelly pulled up to a beautiful jeweller and parked the car . Both Casey and Kelly slid out of the car and walked into the jewellers . Kelly walked into the jeweller completely gobsmacked on now beautiful all the rings where . Kelly walked over to the frist counter and he begin to look at them with Casey by his side when one jeweller walked over and asked if there any rings he would like to look at . Kelly looked up and said that he wanted to look at the gorogues rose gold ring that had a matching wedding band. The jeweller nods and took the ring from the cabinet and placed it onto the counter and Kelly gently picked it up and looked at it and then looked at Casey and Casey just smiled and said it is gorgoues and that is totally Stella in a ring . Kelly looked back at the jeweller and said that he will buy the ring .

Back at the station, Stella and the crew finished a eighteen hour shift and were all excited to be heading home when Stella noticed both Casey and Kelly where not here . Stella grabs her jacket and bag and heads out of the locker room . Stella walked out to her car and she slid into the front seat and throw her bag into the passenger side seat and she let out sigh and she started the car and heads home for the evening .

At the apartment Kelly walked into the apartment and want to go and shower off the dirt of the eighteen hour shift they just worked and decided to get ready for thier date as it has been four years that they have been together . Stella arrived home and she slid out of the car and heads inside the house to find Kelly’s bag was already here . Stella throw her bag onto the stairs and she heads upstairs to the bedroom when she noticed Kelly in a blue tux standing by the window waiting for Stella . Stella walked over to Kelly and she gently kissed his lips and asked why he was dressed up and Kelly looked at her and told her to get ready as they where going on a date . Stella smiled and she goes to shower and changed into a black laced dress and heel and walked out to Kelly . Kelly was fixing the button on his jacket when he looked up and noticed Stella in the dress and was speechless .

Kelly walked over to Stella and gently grabs her hand and they both walked out of the house together . Kelly and Stella walked to his Camero and Kelly opened the door for her , as Stella slid into the car and Kelly gently slid the door closed . Kelly walked to the driver side and he slid in and Kelly drove off the beauiful cabin that belong to his fathers . Stella looked at Kelly and asked where they were going and Kelly told Stella is was a surprise . They drove for an hour when Stella noticed the gorgoues little cabin in the distance and Stella looked at Kelly with a little sparkle in her eye and said that is was prefect for thier date night . Kelly smiled knowing this date night was going to be the night to remember

Kelly pulled up to the gorgoues little cabin he rented for the night and stopped the car and slid out and walked over to Stella side and opened the door and leans his hand for Stella to take. Stella took Kelly’s hand and she slid out of the car . Stella looked around and was speechless and Kelly closed the door . Stella begin to walk to the cabin as Kelly grabs the little black box from his jacket , Stella walked up to the little pouch with a smile. Kelly followed behind Stella as Stella was looking out to the gorgoues view and Kelly slid onto one knee and opened the box . Stella turned around and noticed the little black box and she covered her mouth as Kelly begin to speak . Kelly looked at Stella and said -since the first moment I set my eyes on you I know I don’t deserve a women like you , but I decided to be a man and asked you on our very first date four years ago and today I’m going to be asking you to be my wife - Stella didn’t even hear the words and she leans in a kiss him deeply and whispered -yes I will marry you- Kelly slid off the floor and wrapped his arms around her waist and kiss Stella deeply as he held the box . Stella broke the kiss and she gently grabs the box from his hand and she looked at the gorgeous ring in front of her and asked Kelly to slid it on . Kelly gently slid the engagement ring onto her finger and looked at her with a smile. They both walked into the cabin together to spend some time as the new couple of fiancés

Damn I didn’t know there were Stella haters out here. Stella has been struggling her whole life, personal and career. She is a female fighter and a person of color, she’s struggling everyday, am I wrong. So all y’all saying she doesn’t deserve to be Lt like bye. Boden has been preparing her since season 8 so she’s ready. Plus the girls on fire program helped with her leaderships skills as well💯. LIEUTENANT STELLA KIDD
