Rosemead High School Track Coach Fidel Dominguez arrested for unlawful sexual intercourse and oral copulation with a minor. The female victim who at the time was a Rosemead High School student, was engaged in a three year, on-and-off relationship with Dominguez dating back to March 2015. Dominguez who established a close bond with the victim would pick her up on weekends and drive her to his home in La Puente where they would have sex.

The Los Angeles County Special Victims Bureau believes there might be additional victims and urge anyone with information regarding this case to call the toll free tip line at [phone] or email them at [email protected]. For those who prefer to provide information anonymously, please call "Crime Stoppers" by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477).

Suspect Fidel Camarena Dominguez is currently being held in lieu of $400,000.00 bail.

2 LA County deputies injured after DIS; 1 suspect dead

Two East Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies were struck by gunfire and rushed to LAC+USC Medical Center following a deputy-involved shooting at the end of a pursuit in East Los Angeles.

During a press conference, Sheriff Jim McDonnell said the gun battle began as deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at that location and were met by gunfire. Deputies were able to return fire, killing one suspect and injuring another. One additional suspect was detained at the scene and it is believed there are no more outstanding suspects at this time.

Both deputies who have been with the department for more than 10 years were shot in the upper part of the body and are said to be in serious, but stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. Their families have been notified and are by their side. The sheriff’s department urges anyone with information to call the tip hotline at (800) 222-TIPS.

Don’t Drink and Ride!

The CHP does not “horse” around when it comes to driving under the influence or in this case RIDING under the influence. A Placentia man was arrested and booked for DUI when he was spotted riding his horse “Guera” (Spanish translation for fair-skinned) on the EB 91 freeway in the City of Long Beach.  The birthday boy (yes he was arrested on his birthday) was located by CHP officers shortly after exiting the freeway. He was interviewed and given a Preliminary Alcohol Screening (PAS) Device test, which showed his alcohol level was more than double the legal limit. “Guera” was unharmed and released to the suspect's mother. 

Although no one was hurt the CHP would like to remind everyone to stay out of harm's way and avoid being killed in traffic.

Suspect sought in violent attack of elderly man *watch video*

      The Los Angeles Police Department has released surveillance video showing a violent attack against an elderly man. The incident happened on Friday, October 20th near the 800 block of North La Brea Avenue near the Fairfax area. In the video, the suspect is seen approaching the elderly victim from behind and striking him in the face with a backpack without any provocation. The victim falls to the ground from the impact, sustaining serious injuries.

     The suspect is described as a White or possibly Asian man in his 20’s with a mustache and goatee. He stands around 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 to 170 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a dark beanie, gray sweatshirt, dark pants and carrying a dark backpack. He is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.

Another royal wedding is on the way!

Ladies, Prince Harry is officially off the market. Today the world woke up to the news of Prince Harry’s engagement to American Actress Meghan Markle. 

The newly engaged couple walked out of Kensington Palace holding hands to meet with the press. Both thanked the members of the media for their warm wishes and Ms. Markle showed off the highly anticipated engagement ring. Oh, the ring! Prince Harry himself designed his soon-to-be wife’s engagement ring which has three diamonds: a central stone from Botswana and two from the collection of his mother, Princess Diana.

Hours later the engaged couple gave a lengthy interview to a media outlet where they discussed in detail how Prince Harry proposed and met Ms. Markle. I would tell you all about it, but it’s far more exciting to hear it from them. Watch below.

Dodgers defeat the 2016 world champions: Clinch a spot in the World Series

The wait is over for Dodger fans, after 29 years the Los Angeles Dodgers are heading to the World Series. 

The man of the night was without a doubt Kike Hernandez who scored 3 homeruns for his team. The Dodgers defeated the 2016 world champs 11-1 on Thursday night clinching a spot in the World Series since 1988. The first World Series game will be played on Tuesday, October 24.

Simi Valley sex offenders allowed to give out candy on Halloween night

Just two weeks before Halloween the Simi Valley city council overturned Ordinance No. 1201 which was enacted in September 2012. This ordinance prohibited sex offenders from posting “candy or treats” signs, turning on decorative and ornamental lights on October 31, refraining from placing Halloween decorations in the front yard and exterior of the residence as well as answering the door to children who were trick or treating. After further review and 2 federal lawsuits over this ordinance, sex offenders will be allowed to participate in Halloween activities effective immediately.

MAN FOUND SHOT TO DEATH INSIDE MOTEL ROOM IN SOUTH GATE

LASD HOMICIDE DETECTIVES ARE ASSISTING SOUTH GATE POLICE WITH THE SHOOTING DEATH INVESTIGATION OF A MAN INSIDE THE OAK TREE INN MOTEL IN SOUTH GATE.

SOUTH GATE POLICE RESPONDED TO A SHOTS FIRED CALL ON THE 9000 BLOCK OF LONG BEACH BLVD IN SOUTH GATE ON SATURDAY, SHORTLY BEFORE 7 P.M. UPON ARRIVAL, THEY LOCATED AN ADULT MALE HISPANIC INSIDE ONE OF THE INN SUFFERING FROM A FATAL GUNSHOT WOUND TO HIS UPPER TORSO.

LT. MENDOZA WITH THE LASD HOMICIDE BUREAU, SAID DETECTIVES LEARNED THE VICTIM AND AN ADULT FEMALE HISPANIC CHECKED-IN TO THE MOTEL TOGETHER EARLIER THAT DAY. THE WOMAN,  WHO IS NOW SOUGHT FOR QUESTIONING FLED BEFORE SOUTH GATE PD ARRIVED ON SCENE. DETECTIVES HAVE NOT RELEASED THE IDENTITY OF THE WOMAN OR VICTIM.

SHE IS NOW CONSIDERED A PERSON OF INTEREST. THE INVESTIGATION IS ON-GOING.

1 PERSON ARRESTED FOR RECKLESSLY CAUSING TOWSLEY FIRE

AUTHORITIES ARRESTED 20-YEAR-OLD ZACHARY GARCIA OF LANCASTER FOR RECKLESSLY CAUSING A BRUSH FIRE (ACCIDENTLY), WHILE PLAYING PAINTBALL IN NEWHALL ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

ACCORDING TO WITNESSES AT THE PAINTBALL PARK, GARCIA WAS SEEN SETTING OFF A SMOKE CANISTER DURING PAINTBALL GAMES, WHICH STARTED THE NOW DUBBED, TOWSLEY FIRE WHICH BURNED 50 ACRES AND IS NOW 80% CONTAINED.

THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT INITIALLY RESPONDED TO A GRASS FIRE ON THE 23900 BLOCK OF OLD ROAD IN NEWHALL, THAT QUICKLY GRE, FORCING EVACUATIONS OF A U.S. POST OFFICE, A CHURCH AND A PAINTBALL PARK FACILITY.

ALTHOUGH, 15 STRUCTURES ALONG THE OLD ROAD WERE THREATENED, ONLY ONE OUTBUILDING BURNED. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

GARCIA WAS BOOKED AT THE SANTA CLARITA VALLEY SHERIFF’S STATION AND CHARGED WITH RECKLESSLY CAUSING A FIRE (ACCIDENTLY).

LASD ARSON AND EXPLOSIVED DETAIL DETECTIVES CONTINUE TO INVESTIGATE THE INCIDENT AND ENCOURAGE ANYONE WITH INFORMATION TO CONTACT THEM AT [phone].

Simi Valley Police Officer injured in on-duty traffic collision

Officer Tom Carney, a 14 year veteran with the Simi Valley Police Department and former Marine, was seriously injured on June 15, 2016 while riding his motorcycle south bound on Tapo Canyon Road at Los Angeles Ave in Simi Valley. A 43 year old woman driving a small pickup truck, made a u-turn directly into Officer Carney’s path throwing him off his motorcycle. He was transported to Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks where he is being treated for significant head injuries, multiple fractures, and internal injuries. 

The Simi Valley Police Department along with the American Red Cross and the Simi Valley Unified School District have organized a blood drive that will take place as follows:

Although, Sanders and Clinton do not agree on many important issues, he looks forward in working with the Clinton campaign in the coming weeks to “ensure that your voice is heard and that the democratic party passes the most progressive platform in its history (…) also look forward to working with Secretary Clinton to transform the Democratic Party.”

Sanders made it clear that he will no longer challenge his rival Hillary Clinton, but instead focus all his energy in stopping Donald Trump from becoming President of the United States.

Sanders thanked his supporters for helping him win 12 million votes and 22 primary caucuses throughout his campaign and reminded them that “we must keep working together into the future.”

“I’ve got crazy ideas in my head when it comes to how I would like to see the world,” says Anshuman Ghosh (@moography), an Indian business developer based in South Africa. He was initially drawn to street photography, but Anshuman wasn’t able to create the world he imagined in his mind — one that was less serious and more quirky. “I wanted to create something that was a fusion between what was real and what was not,” he says. “I came up with this technique I call phone framing.” Anshuman sketches a drawing on paper, cuts it out and aligns everything together to create a seamless visual illusion. “Placing the phone in the picture gives me the freedom to trick my audience into believing the phone is more than something that it is.”
