Ricky Trickartt

Ricky is a Graphic Artist from the edge of London. He is author of children's book 'Alley Cat Rally' published by Flying Eye Books, and designer of hundreds of record covers for some of electronic music's biggest DJ and musicians. Here is some of Ricky's favourite things he has made.

Alley Cat Rally is a children's picture book I wrote and illustrated and is published by renowned independent children's publisher Flying Eye Books. It is about a cat who makes a racing car out of her washing machine, but it's also really about the joy of making things, girls pursuing STEM projects, and the power of diverse ideas.

This is one of my favourite record covers I've ever designed. I made it with an old, slightly broken photocopier my grandpa gave me, a typewriter, and a pair of scissors.

My partner and I enjoy holidaying in the Mediterranean and always marvel at the amount of original Fiat Pandas that keep on surviving in the warm climate. I wanted to get her a poster of one, but I didn't like any of the original print advertising campaigns I found, so I designed my own using some elements of one of the French marketing campaigns
