Weirdly enough, I actually know the answer to this one. So for all those who are curious: Waaaaay back in the middle ages it was a not uncommon practice/fad/thing to use rhyming “slang” as a nickname! So Rob turns to Bob, William/Willy turns to Billy (also Will to Bill), Richard/Rick turns to Dick, etc. So yeah, the name Dick actually derived from a quirky middle age fad. Hooray!

All the DnD characters! I unearthed all my old drawings and colored them Yay!

Fun traits:

Gnor: He pours healing potions in his mouth before he bites his vic-teammates to administer healing. He can also heal as a ritual and does so by licking the person like a dog cleaning its pups. As a result, he has favorite people to heal (because they taste better)

N.Solque: Has short term memory loss that resets around 10 pm every day. If you tell him his first name was Nick one day and Noland the next he would believe you on both days (because he doesn’t know his own first name).

Tarna: She keeps her hair short and shaved by using her hand axes. As you can see, they have brass knuckles in the design for ease of use for cutting movements that don’t need a full swing. Her totem animal is the Honey Badger, and brews her own moonshine.
