people need to stop leaving intersex people out of conversations about reproductive justice.
intersex people are routinely sterilized at birth, and the choice of whether or not we want to have children is taken from us before we even can reach an age where we would be ready to make that choice.
intersex people and their families are lied to about surgeries that have no medical benefit, because doctors are so worried about making sure that they uphold the binary system and create people who look “normal” instead of preserving our right to consent to what happens to our bodies.
intersex people are often denied access to fertility treatment, or have many barriers to accessing infertility treatment because it is believed that we will not want to have children, or that we should not want to have children.
yet, intersex issues are rarely, if ever, brought up in the context of reproductive rights, despite the fact that bodily autonomy and reproductive justice is a huge issue for the intersex community.
if you’re fighting for reproductive justice, please consider fighting for our rights to choose as well.
adding on to this to say: intersex people of all genders need access to abortion on demand, for any reason. abortion rights are intersex rights as well.
Adding this to say that we need intersex sex ed. Their bodies are so often not taught about and it makes things difficult for learning what is safe for them.
Some people are aro/ace inclusions but are against the idea of the aro/ace spectrums. What’s your view on this?

i was looking at the ask someone sent out about if they have dysphoria or not and i’m confused because that’s true for me (like i feel terrible being referred to as my agab) but i’m worried i’m faking it. also i don’t feel entirely like the “opposite gender” and i feel like that leads to nowhere so. any advice???
Hey Anon, in simple terms I would have to say: you arnt faking to yourself. So if you feel dysphoric while alone then yeah you might have gender dysphoria. If you feel uncomfortable with being called by either gender you could be NB. For now, I would recommend using different pronouns online intill you find something that sticks.

Hey anon (: thanks for the compliment. I agree with you about trying to avoid being in an echo-chamber! I think NBs are O.K as long as they have dysphoria, I cant fully understand the dysphoria they experience as it obviously is different from mine. I feel a little bad for them because relieving dysphoria must be quite hard in their cases.

I think we as queer people all know the “oh” moment where you realize you’re not straight/cis but no one talks about the “goddamnit not again” moment where you thought you completely figured out your gender/sexuality only for you then to discover another label and have to start the whole process over again
these posts are so funny. they prove how much of a game, how fake this all is. everyone realizes it.
you change your mind seeing a new label because gender and sexuality are a consumerist hobby for you.
I agree however, often times people have issues finding a label that describes them. I find this especially in bisexual and asexual people because their sexuality isn't talked about often enough so they just think they're gay or straight because they don't know they can be neither.

Ok.. so question what if I. Cant tell if i have dysphoria? like stress and mental strain and paranoia keep me from pinning it down because theres so many. Qualifiers for it and points I have to hit? Like. “It could be dysphoria but also I have been in a horrible funk do idk.” I am!! Not really sure how to go about it? Plus on top of that I just don’t understand the “dysphoria debate” so that just makes it worse. 😭 Apologies if this is wasting your time ! 🥲
I'm going to try and simplify what the dsm and ICD are trying to ask is essentially this:
Do you feel worse when referred to your agab then the other gender?
Dysphoria doesn't have to be unbearable, that's just a misconception. For some people dysphoria can be quite mild. My advice to you is to try out some labels and see if any of them fit!
