so Iâm about to make some paper mache for a cosplay prop, right? I open up some old newspapers, I find the comic sheet and start looking through it cause who doesnât like comics right? and who else is staring at me from the kidâs drawings corner, than fucking Dio Brando
So either a 12 year old submitted this pretending to be hirohiko araki, or hirohiko araki submitted this pretending to be a 12 year old, and I donât know which is funnier
so that mcelroys home video compilation
Some day in the near future
imagine if JK Rowling started announcing outlandish things about characters from books she doesnât even own
JK Rowling confirms that Rodrick Heffley from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series is a closeted furry
âMoney doesnât buy happinessâ ok and poverty buys what exactly
where is the lie
Out of poverty creates strength and compassion. Itâs weird how that works.
i sure wasnât feeling the strength when i was skipping class because i was too weak to walk there after going 2-3 days without food, and i definitely wasnât compassionate when i was checking every time i walked home to see if there was an eviction notice on the door. stop trying to fucking make it seem like a good thing.
Poverty is not a virtue.  It doesnât make you a better person.  Poverty doesnât make you âstrong and compassionateâ it makes you insecure and stressed the fuck out.  Poverty makes it so you canât live your life without the everything being undercut by fear.  It makes you hard and angry.  We need to do away with the bullshit myth that being poor is somehow better for you as a person.  You know who wants you to believe that?  Rich people, so you donât question them.
âpoverty creates strength and compassionâ is a lie perpetuated by the financially privileged to encourage the poor to accept their economic disadvantage and all of the trouble it comes with.
lack of access to affordable medical care, affordable education, shelter, electricity, and food do not build character. literally kill that myth right now
There is a new Spice Girls meme, and I am absolutely on board with it.
Wait, yâall thought Josuke was the only Jojo character based on Prince?
AHEM. Excuse me momentâŠ
No wonder I fell so hard for Jojoâs Bizarre Adventure. Araki put Prince in nearly every character and I FUCKING LOVE IT!!
BONUS:Â
Maybe put it on a canvas instead of someoneâs property, and we can all be happy.
who paying for these canvases or the art programs so these kids can have that? Why should it matter if these run down buildings that never get fixed up anyway get graffitiâd?Â
Therein lies the issue. Art programs, both visual and performance based, are the first programs to be cut. Canvas ainât cheap. Neither are the supplies. Much of the graffiti that takes place IS on buildings that are run down. The govât didnât place any value on these properties and yet get pissy with dudes âvandalizingâ their shit. You canât have it both ways, ya dig.Â
My father was a garment contractor in LA. In the late 80s, he owned the building where he had his factory. He thought it would be a cool idea to commission local graffiti artists, usually young Black and Latino men looking to stay out of trouble, to paint murals on his buildings. After all, he runs a garment design/manufacturing company, and creative signage is great advertising.
One day, he showed up to the building and the city just painted over the murals without permission or notice.
First, the city told him he couldnât have graffiti art on HIS building because it brought down property value. After he complained, then they said: ok you can do this, but you need a permit. After he got the permit, then the city said: ok, but you can only use these artists.  Of course, these artists were all White graphic design students from USC, and of course they charged 3x more.
There is a prejudice against this type of art, and itâs racial.  Banksy vandalizes folks buildings all the time, and folks treat him like the Messiah. He ainât doing nothing new that Black and Brown folks havenât done for decades.
Iâm reblogging because BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like both works, but: this, yes.
yall really wanna forget that the comedian from the âLET ME INâ meme is a huge transmisogynist huh.
i had to do some digging to find the clip but here it is, at the end.

if youâre cis youâre encouraged to rb bc iâm fucking TIRED of seeing him on my dash.
Um, In 2013 is was NOT common knowledge that âtr*nnyâ was a slur- hell, itâs still not completely well known in society at large. Since then heâs definitely done some trans ally stuff. So I think blanket labelling him a âtransmisogynistâ isnât accurate. He has not been anti trans peopleâ âtr*nnyâ was commonly used in many circles back in 2013 and long before that in many communities, including the LGB community, drag queens etc- The early 2010s is when finally trans rights and thoughts on the word became more widely known and debated- but this was mostly known throughout the queer community- not society at large. It was fiercely debated around 2013 with people on BOTH sides of the issue. I means, there were the âTranny Awardsâ until 2014 when they changed their name. This is an unfair standard to wave around to someoneâs one-off word use in 2013- back when it was NOT widely considered a slur.
Rbing the updated / fact checked version.

pea brain: naruto is good
normal brain: naruto is formulaic but okay
expanded brain: naruto is bad and kishimoto is a bad writer because all his characters have the same generic â"sadââ backstory and the details are swapped out mad-libs style this is so sad Alexa play Sorrow and Sadness
galaxy brain: the side-characters having similar traumas to naruto is indicative of the problems ninja society faces as a natural consequence of using literal child soldiers and narutoâs best trait is his ability to empathize with others precisely because of their shared experiences. the backstories being similar or outright mirrors of the past are an effective storytelling tool that reinforces the struggles naruto faces, builds interesting side characters without the need for overdevelopment, contrasts with the way characters like sasuke handle similar situations, and provide familiar structure to an episodic series that might otherwise struggle with maintaining a consistent theme.
