Bruh, about Wolff's comment on Antonelli's education. Besides the fact he ain't the only one that has completed his secondary education (namely Piastri passing A-levels), 10 seconds research on Google will show that Antonelli didn't even attend a high school (liceo) but the equivalent of a vocational school (istituto tecnico). Specifically Istituto Superiore Gaetano Salvemini di Casalecchio di Reno (source: RAI), where he studied International Relationship for Marketing (RIM).
If you grew up in Italy, you'd know istituti tecnici kinda have a reputation. They are basically schools you go to either because you want to learn a trade and most likely don't plan to attend university, or you have bad grades in middle school and unfortunately teachers push you towards them instead of a liceo. Hence, they are looked down upon education wise by the general population as the "lazy" option. I personally think if they were better organised they could be valid, but at their current state it is what it is...
On top of that, Antonelli was almost certainly entitled to "programma atleta", which is a nation wide special arrangement for agonistic athletes where they get more flexibility and extra help to keep up with classes. I had one girl in my class under the program, unlike everyone else that could just be called up randomly for "oral exam" without prior communication (a perk of the Italian education system, we have unplanned assessments at the teachers' discretion to make sure you study constantly), she could refuse it for example.
As someone who's also taken some IGCSE while taking the Italian Diploma, I consider the former more representative as the quality of the latter really depends on the school/class within the school one attends. It isn't a fully standardised evaluation like GCSE. The Ministry of Education and Merit keeps changing the weights yearly, but in 2025 40% of the final grade was "crediti scolastici" (so based on the last three years of schooling, in an education system where the teachers can freely choose evaluation methods and grades unquestioned, even just based on sympathy), 20% Italian written essay, 20% "materia d'indirizzo" written exam (I'd assume economics for ITES like Antonelli's), 20% oral meeting (it's kinda contrived because it includes a bunch of bs, but just know that once you get admitted into the oral the failing rate is almost zero because once again your teachers are the main deciding factor), +5 bonus points.
Passing grade is 60, Antonelli's isn't publicly disclosed as far as I can see. But yeah no, sorry but this ain't impressive or indicative AT ALL of him as a student. GCSE and A-levels at least are nation wide standardised. An Italian Diploma is heavily dependent on the teachers, so a 75 from student A doesn't actually attest the same level of knowledge of a 75 from student B, too many different factors come into play. Which is why we also have a funnel of schools in Italy with a reputation of being easier (so if you get held back at your other school, you go into those as last resort) or even pay to pass. Not saying that's Antonelli's situation. But that he went to ITES and that he took the diploma under the 2025 weight system with all its systematic flaws are factual.
Like, let's not try making him into what he's not. If I had attended ITES instead of "liceo scientifico" I wouldn't have qualified for admission at my university abroad. And my choices were business administration or economics and business economics, so depending on conversion tables ITES ain't even sufficient for studying its primary subject in uni in some countries. Hilarious.
Also I'll remind everyone Antonelli confused the EU and Europe on camera once when playing a guessing game with Russell, implying the UK isn't in Europe anymore. Big pet peeve of mine.
