Seriously. I'm starting to block y'all on sight it has been quite long enough of a campaign to get you weaned off this terf's books and shows (and now games!)
#i seriously don’t want to share space with ppl who still platform that bitch#she has literally said that she takes the money she receives from the franchise as SUPPORT and AGGREEANCE of her dangerous transphobic#beliefs#she gives her own money to organizations that are extremely dangerously transphobic and ACTIVELY harm the trans community#you’re giving her money any time you platform her franchise#that includes#streaming ANY of the movies#buying ANY official merch#playing that fucking video game#going to HP world#talking about her and her franchise in a positive light#I grew up as a HUGE fan of the books and movies#as I got older and more mature I recognized (and was pointed out) a lot of the problematic things within story#and then when she came out in 2020 with that transphobic ass essay and doubled down on what she said#I had to severely diminish my consumption of HP world as I processed#at the time I thought I was only a trans ally#I knew trans people#a trans family member (the specific kind she demonizes)#and when she got more belligerent with her transphobic rhetoric I had to stop consuming her IP completely#and now after realizing I am also trans#I can barely look at or hear anything to do with HP#barely any of the internet trends#barely fanfiction (literally only have read like 3 ff of it in my life)#I get so uncomfortable and icky around it or seeing it now#yes ofc I miss my nostalgia movies#but I just can’t separate the art from the artist at all for this#perhaps when she’s dead I’ll be able to watch the movies again and not feel gross#and ONLY IF her estate isn’t giving the royalties from it to anti-trans orgs still#I hope she’s dead sooner than later#and props to our 3 main character actors who have publicly condemned her behavior and views in recent years
