âI also find the freakout around it pretty funny as well. Iâm not gonna lie. A commentator that was like, âWhat sheâs doing is peddling the dangerous lie that women can have it all.â Can you believe that?
What I find funny is that my choice is a threat to them. Despite the rhetoric they use and the bald eagles that they plaster all over the place, they actually really do not believe in a free country.
You do not need anyoneâs approval to lead your life and make the choices that make you happy.
They talk about being pro-family, but all of a sudden when a 36-year-old talks about having a baby, theyâre mad. How many male members of Congress are they freaking out about having kids after 40? The president had his last kid at 59. Life happens.
And people say youâre peddling this dangerous lie that women can have it all. You know, maybe in life you canât have everything, but hereâs the secret: You can have a hell of a lot.
And I am very grateful for my life. I go after what I want, but maybe thatâs what they donât like either. Too bad for them.â

Not to brag but I have pretended to read 42 of the 60 English translations of The Odyssey.
Every so often I catch a glimpse of the book drama going on over on the Insta/Threads sphere of the Internet, and it makes me so glad Iâm considered too Tumblrina to sit at their tables.
What do you mean an author is railing against people using libraries/the Libby app because itâs âfreeâ (itâs not. you as the author get money from the library purchasing the digital lending license) and meanwhile their book is on Amazon for free to try and get readers??? Hello????
snoopy of the day
oh my god that noise??????
The way she loses it too is proof she didnât anticipate exactly what she would sound like.
She might just be cracking up because she got Ryan to break, which is notoriously hard to do
I want to say both
I just discovered your phenomenal bee dress and I'm completely stunned. You're a true artist: I can't imagine the hours and hours that must have gone into every embroidered design
If you don't mind me asking, did you use an existing pattern or self draft? I'm so obsessed with the shape of it and would love to know what that style is called đ»đ
Hello!!! :D
I love talking about my dress
I self drafted a pattern!
This is based on a 15-16th century Italian gamurra! There is a McCalls pattern for this style of dress: pattern no. M7763
This pattern did not fit me sadly (common issue with this pattern I fear), so I ended up making my own! See process below
If you have never done this style of dress before, it will take a second to get the curve of the arm holes and angle of the straps correct. Once you do tho, this is a very easy pattern to use over and over as the base for other dress styles in the same time period!!!!
Please feel free to ask me additional questions if you need assistance with drafting!!!!!
