How to deal with longer periods of isolation
I decided to be more proactive in solving these issues of mine so instead of just posting reflections, I thought that maybe I should post helpful stuff here as well. I stumbled upon this thread on reddit and I’ll put here stuff that maybe helpful (emphasis on some stuff mine).

Go online and talk to people on the internet
Engage in a meaningful expressive practice, some form of art, like painting, drawing, colouring, poetry, writing, journaling, making music, singing
meditate, look up meditations on the internet and find a nice place in your living space and put on some calming music and try to meditate
Clean the house top to bottom can be extremely therepeutic
Binge netflix shows
Cocoon yourself in blankets in bed and cry if you have to and let out all the emotions
Go explore bookstores or the mall by yourself
Go for walks through forests or parks or trails
Shower or take a bubble bath
Put on music and read stuff that interests you on the internet
Read a good book

listen to music that you really love
read a new book or listen to audio books
work on procrastinated to do list items (but baby steps so you don’t get frustrated)
Force yourself outside on a walk. It’s amazing how even though I really really don’t feel like it, I’ll come back feeling glad I did.
do a project you always put off because there isn’t time. I’ve been writing poetry. -listen to YouTube videos on meditation or other things in life you’d like to have a better grip on. Any question you have about life, there’s a video for it! It feels nice hearing people speak about personal wins and losses that you can learn from/ relate to.
find a comedy show to get lost in, especially if you’re mopey.
record voice memos or write letters to people you care about or need to release something to. You don’t have to send it. Sometimes it’s just nice to let things out.
sit back and think how this time is actually a huge gift. Think of the annoying things about your social circle that right now you aren’t having to deal with. Think about times in the past you would have wished for a little solitude like this!
