I’m so grateful to all the young Gen Z/older Gen Alpha kids I work with during the year. There are always more sweet and good and kind things to remember than bad things. Of COURSE a few of them drive me up the wall sometimes, but overall I’m pleased to see the people who will be the new adults in the next 1-10 years.

I know there’s a lot of fear and doomerism about young people out there, some of it justified (usually caused by institutionalized trends) and some of it not (oh dear god one of them said 6-7 I guess I’ll have to die), but really kids are still like people of any age: they are all different, but more of them desire to be good than desire to be bad.

A 19-year-old black trans girl was shot to death this month, and there has been absolutely no media reporting on it - despite extensive reporting on almost identical incidents in the same part of Florida, at the same time. The police, as usual, misgendered her in the police report and have done nothing to find her killer. Her name was Jayla Mcgee. Black trans people deserve to grow old.

I'm seeing warnings about scammers trying to commission artists but the "reference sheet" for their character they want commissioned isn't an image but a .vbs file ("visual basic script"), and will run a script when you open it, probably to yoink your account(s), but I haven't seen this from anyone who's actually clicked it yet. Just be careful and never open a file like that, 'cause people suck.

I keep fish and sometimes breed them (free fish hack). At the moment I have some beautiful fellows that are getting up there in age, so it's time to create more.

I separate all of my fish by their gendies as soon as you can possibly tell them apart to keep the population of my tanks where I want it, and to prevent inbreeding (and all of the complications that stem from that). These lads have effectively never seen a girl.

When I added the female to continue their legacy, they didn't know what to do. So they did what any respectable man might do in that confusing situation: ignored her and continued having sex with each other.

So preoccupied with one another are they that I'm honestly not sure if they will ever include her in any way that matters. Their bloodline ends with gay sex, and tbh, I kinda love that for them.
