I have so many art projects that I feel I've had to fight my way back to, but I hope I never go back to straight-up not drawing again for eight years. Sometimes I have to wait until 11 p.m. to get time to myself to work on my blorbos, but man, I'll make it happen!
In finals season its kinda hard to find any joy really but ill try

A few days ago I bought a 4 pack of pastel de nata, and I thought I had eaten all of them. But I was looking in the fridge for something and saw the box and there was one left!
Also never having to do maths (the subject) ever again!! (I fucking hate maths)

I tried something a little different this time!
I took this photo of the rolling Mississippi right outside the Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium in New Orleans, where my in-laws are all from. Seemed like the perfect waltzing moment for my favorite demons on their human summer vacation topside.
By the way, "cher" is Cajun for "dear" or "sweetheart", derived from the French term of endearment, "cherie." And yes, I have often been called cher in NOLA 🥰
You know honestly as much as Lucifer is silly and that magical combination of adorable and sexy, the thing that is the most attractive to me about this dude is the brutally real exhausted parent side NO ONE FUCKING TALKS ABOUT who is just fucking over full-time adulting/looking good/managing shit and just can't wait to get back to his chunky ass comfy sweater and jammy bottoms and just play with ducks in peace because they just make him happy, okay??
Stepping away is not easy to do when people have been relying on you for years to be the proactive one. They won't understand at first. But something I have learned - nothing can replace your personal wellbeing. All you have is the now, and in the words of Billy Joel, you have to say, "Do what's good for you, or you're not good for anybody."
It doesn't mean you can't step back in later. But it is okay to miss out, let life pass you by, sit in the audience rather than performing on stage. If it isn't in your heart and it is not feeding your soul - don't do it.
