When you hear Halifax do you think
Halifax, England
Halifax, Nova Scotia
the human mind cannot commit more than one halifax to memory
You ever meet someone from London, Ontario, and they'll all intone the same verse: "Second best London in the world"
Personally, I think of a song: Barrett's Privateers. It mentions "Halifax pier" in the chorus, and that's all I've ever thought of it.
Though, on reflection, the fact that the guy I know sang the song is Canadian, Stan Rogers, I have to presume that the privateers in question were Canadian in origin, and thus I've been thinking of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
