It’s finally happened.

After almost a decade on this site, I found another Tumblr user in the wild. I stopped to tie my shoe with rainbow laces this morning outside the silversmith at Colonial Williamsburg, and I heard it.

“I like your shoelaces.”

Oh. Oh no.

I responded the only way I could. “Thanks.” And then I reluctantly added, “I stole them from the president…and if that makes sense to you, I’m very sorry.”

The poor man, in full Colonial dress, stared at me for a long moment. And then burst into laughter. And said, “I haven’t thought about that in YEARS and this has never happened to me before.”

I am going to be so disappointed if we don't at least see a rat hivemind. I'd buy it if most species aren't able to be infected, or if the nonhuman fatality rate of the infection is especially high (which would also explain why we're not seeing much wildlife around). But if the hivemind is compatible with nonhumans and/or they're planning on engineering a version that is, that would justify the hivemind's extremely strict dietary restrictions. It would be autocannibalism to them.

But like. Imagine if Rat Pluribus were separate from Human Pluribus and it wanted to help Carol cure humanity. Do you see my vision.

i would have been more specific if i knew this would blow up but i went to see bunny that weekend and she immediately reached her head out for me to pet her even though she never let strangers touch her and i ended up rushing to petsmart to buy a carrier and immediately take her back to my parents' house until i moved

she now waits in the shadows to run and jump into my lap every single time i sit down and says thank you for all your kind words in the tags
