hello gang im making introduction posts for all my blogs rn so!!

first, my name is sam or charger (pseudonym), and in terms of astrology, I'm Mercury/Saturn/Uranus/Neptune ruled bc my chart cant make up its mind but if i absolutely HAD to choose 2 planets, it would be mercury and uraneptune 👍👍👍👍 man i cnat choose 2 i cnat do it-

i was also born under a last quarter moon and i have a couple posts where i say this, but im a taurus/gemini sun (29° taurus and gemini fits way more for me) and a cancer rising 🙏 (gemini mercury ✨)

as for how i got into astrology, i always had a vague interest in it that grew over the years until it eventually snowballed one random day and here i am now, writing newsletters weekly and it's the whole reason i actually started using tumblr again.

my mom was into it WAY before i was, but she fell off of it and then i picked it up and actually got her back into it somehow-

other things abt me include:

- i am an avid korn enjoyer

- im an editor

- my whole "twisted" thing that i have in 2 blogs now including this one, literally comes from twist and twisted transistor by korn

i figured it fit super well too because i like twisting things around in everything i do, and im a pretty dark person (despite loving incredibly bright and saturated colors sometimes as evidenced by my most recent image edit as of writing this- i love super dark ones too tho dw 🙏🙏)

- Saturn & Shores in Human Design -

im listening to headlock by imogen heap on repeat rn so im sorry if i miss words or anything bc im dyslexic and have adhd 😵‍💫 BUT i just had a fucking huge realization and i need to get it out immediately

so im a manifestor in human design right, my environment is also shores- my mom is a generator and her environment is also shores-

i did some vague research into shores a while ago and we both had trouble figuring out how it made sense for us- that is, until i just dove into it and it all clicked.

so shores isn't necessarily you're meant to be by a body of water, but it absolutely can be- shores as an environment in human design actually means you thrive in the spaces between.

common examples of these spaces include the porch of your house, it's inbetween your home and the outside world, allowing you a view of both at the same time. windows are a boundary between your home and the outside world as well, and also supply you a view.

the view is imperative here- you thrive in the spaces inbetween where you can see everything going on.

a personal example I can give for this, i always love standing in the hallway between my room and the kitchen- whenever there's commotion going on, I'll observe from the hallway because I'm out of the way and can see everything going on- i am quite literally standing in the space between my room and the kitchen.

i have a theory that people who are very observant have a strong connection to shores in one way or another- my mom and i are the kinds of people that barely let ANYTHING go unnoticed- most people mind their own business in a waiting room, me and my mom are watching everyone around us because we're just built like that.

the point of the shores environment is a Boundary, you thrive on the boundary line drawn between two spaces.

the planet of boundaries in astrology is Saturn- Saturn is NOT the planet of limitation or restriction in any way, like ive said 100000 times before, it's the planet that dissolves our ego.

except it doesn't dissolve our ego, it dissolves the LIMITS of our ego- Our ego is the storyteller of our life, and saturn wants us to dissolve its limits so we can live a fuller, more fulfilled life and learn even more in this lifetime.

regardless, saturn still represents boundaries and BALANCE, it wants us to balance all things in our life while maintaining growth.

environments in human design are also known as colors, and shores is the 6th color. Saturn is the 6th planet from the sun.

there's several incredibly important boundaries in life that people with the shores environment may feel more inclined to explore and tread along.

1. the boundary between our planet and space- if you're like me and you love nothing more than the stars in the sky and seeing any cool visible space events, that's a boundary.

2. the boundary between the ocean and land, and water as a whole. Bodies of water are like their own little pockets of life separate from ours, even light travels differently if you go deep enough (colors shift until it's pitch black and abyssal)

3. the boundary and balance between ego and soul, aka saturn's playground

4. the boundary between our reality and the spirit realm, aka the veil. The thinner this boundary gets around halloween, the more it moves from being like a porch-sized boundary, to being like a window.

saturn can be associated with just about any of these boundaries, since it in itself is a boundary- its rings are a constant balancing act, so if you also had a fascination with saturn, just as a planet or astrologically, you might have a shores environment.

i also read an article that said video games or books, i would say even music, qualify as part of these boundaries because they're essentially different realities- and that is FASCINATING to me because I've always LOVED music and video games- I get lost in games super easily too because i literally feel like im IN that reality-

i have a feeling that's why i get lost in any creative pursuit i do too- ive always considered all my edits to be tiny fragments of my soul because im literally building a mini-reality from the ground up and then whenever i go back to watch them, I remember the feeling i put in them as if i made them 3 minutes ago.

to make matters worse, i also have saturn in leo in my 1st house, and my 5th house is in scorpio with my jupiter in it 🫡

so if you're also a shores environment in human design or have a strong saturn placement, id be interested to know if you're as inclined to these boundaries im talking abt- I think the connection between saturn and shores is REALLY interesting and now i know why saturn seems to have so much power in my chart for no reason 🤔

- The Reality of Virgo -

virgo!!! the mercury ruled earth sign. Or is it. 🤨.

a while ago my mom and i were talking abt astrology stuff and we had a realization about what virgo actually is, and she thought it made more sense for it to be ruled by mercury and for some reason i just Did Not agree with virgo being ruled by mercury

and i couldn't figure out why until it dawned on me like 2 days ago now- mind u i was not actively thinking about it the whole time, that conversation with my mom was months ago now, it just marinated in my head for so long that it finally came back up in an AHA moment 🫡

you can tell my mercury is in the 12th house tbh- Which i have lore on that too But virgo first!!!!!

so let's start with methods of pulling a chart, and trust me this'll make sense later.

there's 2 methods of pulling a chart, the most common one being geocentric, meaning the position of the planets is calculated from our perspective of them here on earth

geocentric is how we get our ascendant and our sun sign, virtually every natal chart uses the geocentric system.

the significantly less used, but still valid system, is heliocentric- meaning the planets are calculated from the sun's point of view instead of the earth's.

heliocentric pretty dramatically changes the placement of planets like the moon, mercury, venus, and mars, the outer planets are changed by a matter of degrees

However in a heliocentric chart, you don't have a sun sign anymore, you have an earth sign.

to save u some time too, your earth placement is exact opposite your sun placement, and the moon is conjunct earth within a matter of minutes- so sun in 29° taurus has earth and moon in 29° scorpio

NOW why do i bring up these two?

so we all know virgo to be very precise, analytical and detail-oriented- We also know the 6th house to be the house of employment and health and stuff- what if i told u........... i have a different take....... a twisted one if u will.... a twisted astrology tak-

this precision and analysis of virgo is what makes everyone point to mercury, but mercury to me is way too playful and energetic for a sign like virgo

virgo is much more down to earth...... almost as if it was........ ruled by earth......... 🤨.......

And i know what ur gonna say, "so every earth sign is ruled by earth?" NO!

ill get into why i think virgo is ruled by earth in a sec But lemme differentiate first-

capricorn is saturn-ruled, it wants to become more than itself, so it leaves earth behind

taurus is venus-ruled, it wants to use earth's resources (more on this in a sec) to create ease and comfort, and damages earth in the long run (kinda like humanity has tbh 😕)

notice however that the other two earth signs are still earthbound in a way- they still deal with it, but they aren't ruled by it

so virgo is known as the virgin or the maiden, and is associated with wheat and the harvest- I take this to mean it's a sign with plenty of resources, and what planet in our system has a surplus of resources perfect for the formation of life???? E a r t h.

virgo's resources are dedicated to creating and understanding reality, and earth is our reality.

so the 6th house, your virgo placements and your earth placement can all be used to figure out the kind of filter you view reality through

"but how do i know my earth placement if heliocentric doesnt have an ascendant?" just take ur geocentric ascendant and ur geocentric placements and Add the heliocentric placements to it-

so if ur a cap rising with a gemini earth, your earth is in your 6th house

im always an advocate for bridging the gap when it comes to chart pulling methods- cross-reference and find what makes the most sense for you

so that's abt it i think- i 100% believe virgo is ruled by our home planet, mutable earth just makes sense in my opinion, and mercury is way too energetic for a sign like virgo (no shade, that's just not the vibe i get from virgo, at least not in the same way as gemini 😵‍💫)

take this how u will but go find ur earth placement and study it bc it's interesting and personally for me, opened up a whole new realm of my chart that made sense as fuck so 💪💪💪💪

good evening once again i am answering this crazy fuckg late Goddamn- guys trust me i love answering questions i rly do i just suck sometimes 😔😔😔 Although i am a manifestor and i see a lot of ppl say they don't respond well to questions so... 🤔... need to think abt that more in my own psyche BUT!!!

i can make a much more in depth post abt human design at some point but im largely still learning so ill tell u what i think so far 😵‍💫

as far as minute-precise time of birth goes, ive actually been trying to figure that out myself and im not sure how much leeway there is?? I think the aura type (like manifestor, generator etc) is still pretty much the same if it's like 10pm - 11pm or something but within that 1hr, the smaller things like design sense and stuff change- im not totally sure tho do not take Nothin im sayin without several grains of salt rn bc i gotta do more research on this but 😮‍💨

i got lucky and my mom always knew my exact birth time bc she was kinda into astrology when i was born so 🫡

in terms of the whole Thing like the whole human design everything, so far from what ive learned it's very crazy accurate, and if you use it in tandem with your astrology chart it's even better-

one thing i really like doing is actually pulling an astrology chart for the design date a bodygraph gives you which is like 88 days before you were actually born, and using that as kind of a bonus chart for more detail-

for example, my natal mercury is in 1° gemini firmly direct and my uranus is in 14° pisces, so they're not really doing anything to each other (in orbit at least) but ive always had Extremely mercury conjunct uranus traits-

turns out in my design date chart, my mercury and uranus are fucking conjunct in pisces and that shit Checks Out im not gonna lie-

in my natal chart im a cancer rising w/mars + saturn in my 1st house, which hits crazy hard now that i know what cancer is really like- in my design date chart though im a cap rising which im not totally sure makes sense for me just yet, i gotta think abt it more, but i still think pulling a design date chart is crazy interesting-

bonus points if you pull a synastry with your design date and your actual natal chart 🫡

so all in all i think human design is super fucking cool, totally makes sense for me and i kind of still cant believe im a manifestor and it explained my whole life ngl, but ya 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

it depends on which cancer post ur talking abt?? generally tho i usually write cancer posts with cancer risings in mind but!!!

cancer moons are, in my opinion which is very contrary to popular belief, NOT in the sign of the moon's rulership!!!! the moon does not rule cancer in my book!!! the moon rules Pisces!!!

neptune is the one that rules cancer so we gotta think a lot here 😵‍💫

the moon is a very mutable planet, so mutable it's not even a full planet, it's a satellite- and it waxes and wanes and everything, so no matter what sign the moon is in, it's still subject to a LOOOOOT of influence from the rest of the chart-

that being said, the moon is how we emotionally relate to other people on a conscious level, and the moon in cancer Could manifest as someone who desperately craves an unfathomably deep connection with other people- OR on the other hand it could manifest as someone who's very reliant on themselves and therefore kind of closed off from other people, it depends on the influence to the moon from the rest of the chart

cancer and neptune can be very volatile but in my personal experience (as a cancer rising 🫡) there is often a feeling of never being able to be truly understood by anyone other than yourself, so on one hand with a cancer moon, that could end up being a constant seeking to prove that feeling wrong, or it could be a very solitary placement- depends on the chart 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

hiii!!! omfg im answering all these asks So goddamn late that's my bad- my motivation for astrology has been weirdly low lately but im tryna see if i can get myself back into it so im starting with this 🫡🫡🫡

i hope im understanding ur question right but from what i got, mars in the 4th house totally depends on a Lot of stuff-

i also personally dont Super believe the 4th house = home + family But overall id say it depends on the sign mars + the 4th house are in, and ofc the aspects going to it and the rest of the chart entirely but 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

so like mars or the 4th house in cancer could actually manifest as a very volatile home life, contrary to popular belief- cancer is a Powerful sign if not the most powerful in the zodiac, and bc of that it has the potential to be incredibly wrathful and Difficult- for the 4th house in cancer, you'll wanna look at the condition of neptune and if u have any other placements aspecting the 4th house or the mars itself-

mars in capricorn or the 4th house in capricorn could mean health issues of some kind, or someone in the area that has a tendency to micromanage-

again, these are all going off of 4th house = home life which i dont really believe But!!

mars in the 4th house in general doesn't necessarily mean Bad Awful Everything- it just depends on the rest of the chart- id say mars in the 4th if well aspected n stuff could mean a very ambitious, close knit group, but it's so subjective like 😭😭😭

so ya turns out a lot of ppl are actually lying abt what the lion's gate portal actually is, and dw i fell victim to this lie a couple days ago too before i learned all this 😵‍💫

so let's start with the myth

myth:

the lion's gate portal is when the sun is in conjunction with sirius in leo

fact:

that is not at all true- i pulled every chart you can imagine to figure out if maybe they were saying it's conjunct in sidereal or something and no, in no chart i pulled was sirius conjunct with the sun at what ppl consider the "peak of the lion's gate portal"

in the tropical zodiac, sirius sits at 14° cancer, and in sidereal it's like 19° gemini- so the sun was actually in conjunction with sirius way back on july 5th and i saw NOBODY putting up a fuss abt that 🤨🤨

another myth!!!!

the lion's gate portal is when the EARTH is in alignment with sirius

fact:

again!!! no!!!!! the earth is in AQUARIUS rn dawg sirius isn't even aspecting it in the tropical zodiac except for a fucking quincunx 😭😭😭😭

the lion's gate portal is when the sun, earth AND sirius all line up in some strange shape that i dont know what is

so me, having the ancient egypt font of autism, i went and did more research- and i found out that the egyptians actually had a whole ass deity that was the personification of Sirius, that was how important the star was to them-

the goddess was named Sopdet, or Sothis to the greeks- i like the name sothis so we're gonna use that-

so the rising of sirius on the eastern horizon (aka the heliacal rising of sirius) always coincided with the annual flooding of the nile to the Egyptians, so they had a very positive view of the star and goddess, bc they were like "YOOOOO THE SHINY IS BACK IN THE SKY THE FUCKG NILE IS GONNA FLOOD LET'S GOOOOOOO- OUR CROPS ARE GONNA BE SO GOOD 😭😭😭😭"

basically. me personally if i was an Egyptian i would be just as hyped-

sothis was also conflated with isis and anubis, and in the old kingdom she was described as a psychopomp who guided pharoahs through the underworld- eventually she was like entirely subsumed into isis-

there was another god too called Sah, and he was the personification of the orion constellation- sah and sothis had a kid named sopdu, who was also venus aka the morning star-

the Egyptians really liked to blend people together sometimes so eventually Sah was just Osiris, Sothis was just Isis and Sopdu was just Horus-

so they were like "ok but let's give credit to original names hold on-" so they became Osiris-Sah, Isis-Sopdet and Horus-Sopdu 😭😭😭

cool mythology lesson bro, what's this gotta do with the lion's gate portal-

so we now know how important Sirius was to the egyptians, but what's cool is the greeks thought sirius was kinda garbage and a bad omen bc it coincided with ofc the dog days of summer, and "when men became weak and women became aroused" So i guess it qualifies to be the hot girl summer star 🫡

sirius is also known as our "spiritual sun", so i have a couple theories here

the lion's gate portal itself is on 08/08 every year, that's its peak because that's when the sun hits 15° of leo which is supposedly the peak of the sign-

and ofc it's the sign of the sun's rulership which i do not personally believe but ill get to that in a later tumblr post probably-

so it's special bc it's a cool number (an angel number) and it's sun stuff-

that's what the lion's gate portal Actually Is.

HOWEVER i dont think that that's the Portal itself- i think the real portal the egyptians had on lock-

i think the actual spiritual significance is the heliacal rising of sirius- which i BELIEVE starts in early july or so- probably around the time cancer season starts so maybe mid june- im not too sure but the later half of the year definitely- (update did some more research, july 19th is when sirius becomes visible at dawn- november 23rd it sets when the sun rises, January 3rd it rises when the sun sets so do with that what u will 💔)

so sirius coming up on the eastern horizon is what's cunty, not necessarily the lion's gate thingy that's just a bonus

what the heliacal rising of sirius Does may not affect everyone equally, but i imagine it would bring to light whatever cancer/gemini placements you have in your chart- so for me, i literally have sirius conjunct my ascendant.

and i think it's interesting, maybe just a coincidence or sumn actually cool, that sirius is part of the winter triangle (made up of itself, betelgeuse and procyon) and i have summertime depression 🫡 i get MISERABLE if it's too hot out but the second it starts getting cold???? U have no fucking idea how much energy i have instantly- that first breeze of winter hits and im wired for sound for the rest of the day i am NOT kidding-

and id like to do a post or a newsletter on specifically the 1st house bc ive been thinking abt it lately and i have a lot to yap abt 💔 (im doing a newsletter series on the water houses rn the 1st part is out ill link to it below this 🫡)

either way i think sirius activity coincides with spiritual awakening to some degree- and being a binary star system as well as its differing associations, i say it has the potential to be a hell star and a star that brings good fortune- so it's probably of the nature of saturn tbh

it being in cancer as well means neptune themes will end up coming out (for the ppl on tiktok reading this, i have a tumblr post explaining why i think neptune rules cancer 🫡 it's kinda out of date by this point i should probably do it again But it still stands) so even more spiritual stuff, soul level revelations, a heightened sense of vitality that you have no idea where it's coming from-

on the other side it could be Not Great and you could feel kind of out of bounds especially rn while neptune is in pisces-

im not totally sure on the interpretation just yet but ya the lion's gate portal kind of has nothing to do with sirius i fear- like it Kind Of coincides with the heliacal rising??? i think that's probably when the portal Opens but there's still not a lot goin on

the lion's gate portal itself is probably a good day for creative stuff tho and pursuing hobbies, manifesting them into your long term reality, etc- but ofc!!! like i always say!!! It Depends 🥳🥳🥳🥳 so what house u have leo in, what leo placements u have, what aspects u have, what leo degrees u have (even though swamp ass reddit mods wanna tell you that shit doesn't mean nothin), etc Like 😭😭😭

unfortunately i can't boil it down super easily BUT i hope u learned what the lion's gate portal and sirius are actually doing :)))))

i dipped for a minute bc i found out in human design im a manifestor type so i naturally have energetic ups and downs and that explained my whole life so i wasnt abt to force myself to post- ill maybe do a post abt human design and astrology at some point but im still very much a beginner in the human design sphere of things- ANYWAY

so everyone loves venus, right- everyone views it as the planet of love and beauty and joy and all these fun things- but what if i told u it's secretly just as dark a planet as like.. any other......

and im gonna go out on an even wilder note and right off the bat tell u that i think venus is secretly the malefic planet, not saturn or mars

allow me to explain 👍

venus has several deity equivalents in different pantheons, and the first one u'll think of is aphrodite- im gonna go the egyptian route tho so get aphrodite outta ur head real quick-

in the egyptian pantheon, venus has 2 equivalents, Isis and Hathor

im personally gonna focus on Hathor bc i think she fits venus way better than isis does- (fun fact: when the greeks came into contact with Hathor’s cult, they immediately equated her to aphrodite so we're on the right track 🫡)

so let's look at the signs venus rules real quick

taurus is a very sedentary, hedonistic sign in general. and we all know the beef i got with earth signs, so u know how i said excess taurus placements (Excess huh. 🤨 Interesting.) in a chart are very difficult to counteract and can lead to a life of a lack of saturn themes (drive, willpower, motivation, etc)

this interpretation of venus makes that make even more sense.

taurus is essentially the lower octave of venus, it's the base instinct of pleasure, the urge to feel good no matter what- whereas libra is the higher octave of venus, it's more sensible and cognitive of what it feels, Wants to feel, and how it would impact themselves and others.

I answered one person's question about the difference between the ascendant, chiron and north node, i was incredibly happy to answer bc i love helping people, especially with "easier" questions like that- (i use quotes to be respectful bc i am of the belief that no question is a stupid question)

i will give the mods one thing, they DID have a rule about self promotion even if the thing you're promoting is free- that one was my bad (i offered to look at someone's chart) and i will (and did) own up to it.

the one i will NOT own up to is the one that was not written in the fucking rules goddamn anywhere.

ive been reading a lot of questions on the astrology subreddit today and my mercury seemed to be incredibly stuck in the gravitational pull of saturn as a topic- i saw Multiple takes that i did Not agree with whatsoever and decided to make a post like this to debunk a whole lot of them and give you my take on what Saturn really is in astrology

saturn is most commonly associated with the physical plane of being, the material, money, finances, business, etc, all because it rules an earth sign and saturn, the god, was a god of abundance, wealth and agriculture.

bc of saturn's association with money and the material, capricorn as a sign also got a bad rap for being overly concerned with the material, money, work, and while this isn't a Bad rap, being good at managing finances as well.

if u know my blog well enough by this point, it shouldn't be a surprise that i IMMENSELY disagree with this 😵‍💫😵‍💫

to me, saturn is the first of the outer planets, and jupiter is not the last of the inner planets, jupiter is the bridge between the inner and outer planets.

where jupiter invites us to cross over to and be made aware of the higher realms of existence, saturn is the first step into those same higher realms.

jupiter is the beckoning, saturn is the answering.

as such, saturn represents ultimately the dissolution of our egos, but in this lifetime, the balance between the two.

that seems like a huge jump from what it's traditionally associated with right? well let's look at the sciency stuff real quick.

saturn's rings are an incredible phenomenon, they require just enough gravitational pull from the planet to hold them in place, and they need to be far enough away in order for the planet not to suck them in completely.

but ultimately this is a losing battle, saturn's rings will eventually dissipate within about 100 million years saturn will go bald 💔

the rings are a perfect representation of balance, and their inevitable fate is a perfect representation of what will eventually and always end.

you cannot always have balance, saturn is perfectly aware of this, but you have to have balance for as long as you must.

you have to balance your ego with your soul for as long as you live, and then when you return to the nothing, your ego will completely dissolve.

this is what saturn is.

saturn is about inevitable transcendance.

the ego is a purely human concept, but it still manages to be sorely misunderstood.

your ego is not you, it's your titles, your labels, what you are to other people, etc. the ego is saying "I am a mother", "I am a CEO", "I work for [thing]", "I do [thing]", "I am a husband", etc.

your ego is what you can offer to other people.

your Soul doesn't care about any of that, your soul says "I am me", "I am a person", that's it. your soul is you, your ego is essentially your human identity.

saturn reminds us that none of us are people, none of us are CEOs or mothers or anything, we are all spiritual beings undergoing a physical experience. but it doesn't rip us away from that physical experience, it just encourages the awareness that there's more to it than what we can see.

this is why saturn demands balance.

we have to be aware that we are not our bodies, we are not our statuses, we have to be aware that we are beings of pure energy, constantly learning what it means to be alive in as many different formats as possible.

but we can't let that awareness detach us completely from what we're experiencing, because then we won't learn the lessons we signed up for.

what's ironic is that the planet all about dissolution of the ego is the same planet that got a very egoic interpretation. we said saturn is the material, the physical plane of being, money, status, etc, those are all extremely grounded concepts in the sense that they're all human-made. they're all made for the ego.

since saturn is so about dissolution of the ego, this also ties into the fact that, to me, saturn rules over drive and the willpower.

saturn is driven and motivated to hell and back to evolve, this is why capricorns are so often painted as ambitious. they're ambitious, absolutely, but only toward evolution into their highest self.

this is gonna sound like an oxymoron but i honestly believe saturn is exalted in aries instead of libra.

saturn's motto (to me) is "I define who I become", right, think about it- Aries' mantra is literally "I am."

aries seeks the self, it defines itself to know what it is and what it isn't- that's exactly what saturn does.

saturn also therefore is accidentally exalted in the 1st house and feels very comfortable in fire signs.

take me for example- my saturn is in leo in my 1st house and my midheaven is in aries (10th house is saturn's domicile), so my saturn is in trine with the house of its rulership that's in its exaltation (to me) and it's in the house of its exaltation too (1st house has an aries connotation).

the last few months i have actually been going through a HUGE saturn lesson and it dragged my chiron in with it too, and it's been fucking Rough. last night i felt the worst i have felt in years, feeling like i just wanted to give up on life.

today, i am back on my bullshit like nothing ever happened because my saturn in 1st house makes me REFUSE to give up no matter how much life hurts. i have literally fuck it we ball-ed myself out of this shit.

im still working through the lesson, but it was an extremely saturn in leo 1st house lesson.

i forgot how to be comfortable being alone and then when i got comfortable again, i got scared of people ruining it, and im Still scared of people ruining it because i feel like i have no space in my life for anyone else right now.

and before this, i felt like i had no space for myself in my life.

saturn's lessons can be extremely painful, yes, but they're not malefic in any way. they're literally there for us to achieve balance and evolve into what we need to be before we inevitably die and lose our egos completely.

it's a balancing act now, but it'll be a funeral later, for your body and your ego.

I love this take. Having Saturn as my ruler in Aquarius 2H with a Capricorn Stellium 1H, and my Saturn Return having been the most significant time of my life (still recovering but FINALLY some CHANGES), I am fed up with the "Ugh no, not the party pooper planet with the homework again" narrative around my favorite planet since childhood 🙏 (yes I am a Saturn pickme 🪐💗)

Saturn Retrograde in Pisces is also something I'm really excited for. I just started tapping into my intuitive, artistic side in an intentional manner, soooo let's see what this energy will reveal!

Can you talk more about aries mercury? so...not the fool card? Even though they don't "think things through" before speaking? It seems to me aries in mercury is either over-emotional, too forward, too logical, too passionate and so many contradictory things all at once. I would REALLY love to hear what you think about that. Please.

Btw, Capricorn Mercury seems to be the most 'useful' mercury in terms of external/social benefits, in the sense that they have a constant filter that makes them gain respect by others easily. I don't necessarily like their minds to be honest, and they're generally not interested in lots of topics but I have to recognise how handy it could come to people who don't get to wish to discuss/delve deeper in various topics.

I have multiple cap mercuries in my life btw including friends, colleagues and my dear mother with whom--even though she's a Gemini Moon--barely manages to have hobbies of her own or participate in games.

I feel like cap mercury is perfect on the outside, but overly influenced by society's standards, rules and appearance on the inside bc of that filter. Like they don't really "think for themselves"? They're much more focused on appearances than on the content of a text, speech and mercury matters.

let's start with aries mercury- in my experience, people with aries mercury aren't necessarily impulsive when it comes to their thoughts or how they talk, unless the rest of the chart says otherwise (mercury square mars especially could do this imo)

my mom has her mercury in 25° aries (so an aries degree) and she's like 99% fire with a cap rising that doesn't do a whole lot bc it's SUUUUUPER intercepted by aquarius- Like literally her whole 1st house is engulfed by aquarius but her asc line is in cap so 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

she's the perfect example of an aries mercury in my opinion- she literally Cannot sit still for longer than like. an hour at best. even my gemini finds it slightly annoying but i just follow her around whenever we're talking 😭😭😭

she also has her sun and venus both in aries (venus conjunct mercury) so she's very aries dominant, and she's not very confrontational or impulsive at all- she's not really quick to anger either like stereotypical aries is, but she is pretty easily irritated id say 😵‍💫

in terms of mercury specifically, you can just See the aries influence in like everything she does- her organization isn't the neatest, but she has to have everything put away otherwise she'll lose her mind and she literally can't focus until the kitchen is clean or something-

her mercury goes a MILE a minute just like mine does so in talking to her, we can go from something very normal to the most out of nowhere conversation you could ever imagine- And we have mercury sextile mercury together (albeit a wide orb bc my mercury is 1° gemini 😵‍💫) so somehow we understand the other's chaos perfectly and actually manage to reel the other in without actually doing anything-

shockingly, where my gemini will get incredibly confused and overwhelmed, her aries will come in clutch- a good example of this is a while ago we were playing fallout 76 and if u dont know, in that game u have a stash box with limited storage capacity and it's inevitable that it'll fill up eventually so u have to get rid of a whole bunch of stuff to bring it back down-

i literally got so overwhelmed by that to the point of tears and my dad tried to help (his mercury is in taurus btw) and he literally couldn't bc i refused to open up to him tbh- so he went and got my mom and just her Being in the same Room with me got my mercury to sort its shit out- like she saw everything so clearly and directly, very aries, whereas i was overwhelmed by all the details, very gemini.

so i think aries mercury is actually a Really good placement especially if you have strong aspects to back it up- it can make you see complicated things very simply and clearly OR the opposite sometimes 😵‍💫 it Can make you overlook details and not understand something when it isn't perfectly direct- and i also notice that, at least with my mom, her aries mercury makes her a Little less good with people- only because a lot of people aren't as clear and concise as she would like them to be, and that's when i have to help her figure out what they mean 😭

i think aries mercuries do actually think things through before they speak, they just think so fast that it Seems like they don't- similar to gemini mercuries actually 😵‍💫

i also dont think they're overly emotional or hot-headed as per the aries stereotypes- i think they're actually a lot more calculated than we give them credit for especially since mars is the god of war, and to win a war you need strategy (personally i think aries rules the sun, but mars makes sense here so 😮‍💨)

ANYWYA in terms of CAPRICORN!!!!!

i have observed quite a few capricorn mercuries so i am extremely glad u brought them up-

i think what u said abt capricorn mercuries being the most useful in terms of social benefits is actually kinda real- i do notice that Most capricorn mercuries are similar to libra mercuries in that they are generally very respectful of the things they talk about, at least if they actually respect them 😵‍💫

i have 3 different capricorn mercuries that im using as examples in my head right now- jonathan davis, awsten knight and bill wurtz- if you've seen any of them in interviews, you'll notice they're all very different with the way they talk but i think jonathan davis and awsten knight are the most similar in the respect thing-

those two are both so charismatic and polite in my opinion- and bill wurtz is too but he's a lot more like what you would think an aries mercury would be like- he's very high-strung, at least in the interview i saw, and has a lot of nervous energy and talks So Fast and yet it still seems like his mouth cant keep up with his brain-

awsten is pretty similar, he's got adhd (same 😵‍💫) and talks pretty fast but his pace seems a little closer to a gemini mercury. it's slightly slower most of the time but the speed at which he talks and thinks seems to vary based on what he's talking about.

jonathan is very cap coded to me with the way he talks, and im silly for him rn so i have done extensive research 💔💔💔 But he seems very methodical, yet playful with how he talks and thinks- methodical but you can tell his brain is fully capable of that uranus level speed at the same time 😭😭😭

i think overall cap mercuries absolutely depend on the rest of the chart bc if u saw my beef with earth signs post (or newsletter!!), u'll have seen where i said earth placements are outlines waiting to be colored in by the rest of the chart-

so if someone has too many earth placements or like- a taurus-influenced cap mercury, i can Absolutely see how they could be someone who doesn't seem to think for themselves, or even thinks too Much about themselves-

i also think the smaller range of interests could actually make sense for a cap mercury because saturn is very much about mastery, so the mercury, unless influenced by another element that says otherwise, would hyperfixate on one thing until it masters it instead of a gemini or aries mercury which is more jack of all trades.

and to be fair i will recognize what good pop astrology has done, it popularized the subject ofc and it is partially the reason i got into astrology, so while i cant be Too mad at it, i Did get into astrology thru pop astrology to essentially disprove pop astrology soo... 😵‍💫

like i said, when i got into astrology, i instantly noticed how many of the same keywords were regurgitated for everything.

that's what i notice most in pop astrology.

pop astrology is where everyone says cancers are crybabies, leos are narcissists, aries are hotheaded and impulsive, capricorns are cold and unemotional, geminis are two-faced, etc.

unfortunately and also fortunately at the same time, i have ungodly pattern recognition in just about everything, so of course i was gonna notice the same thing being said about the same sign and the same house and the same planet over and over again-

and to clarify before we continue (random disclaaaimeerrrrr- hey. dont do Anything that i say in this song-), this is what i personally have observed and experienced with pop astrology, im not sayin that it's All like this, but im talkin abt the very surface level, shallow kinda stuff.

that kinda stuff is what made me not resonate with my rising sign and be incredibly confused by my sun sign-

i would read "what ur like based on ur rising!!!! Cancer: U cry too much." and feel so shitty bro- id have to go look at every other sign to see which one i resonated with more and it was very rarely one of my big 3.

so naturally i was incredibly confused abt astrology but for me, that didnt deter me.

the stereotypes and stuff offered by pop astrology are incredibly harmful and play a huge part in making people not believe in astrology as a whole.

say someone's an aries sun and they read one of those posts for aries sun right- the post says something along the lines of "ur incredibly impulsive, ambitious and extroverted!!! u probably cant control ur anger" and it doesn't resonate whatsoever because guess what their rising sign is capricorn (side note: why do i always manage to default to aries/capricorn in my examples im gonna laugh 😭😭😭) and their saturn is in cap too-

but ofc they wouldnt know their rising or their saturn sign bc those aren't focused on in pop astrology- it's all sun, moon and rising-

the sun, in my opinion, is actually one of the least important placements in a natal chart- and i can do an entire post on my take on the sun dont worry i actually rly want to- but to explain why i think that real quick, the sun is the culmination of the chart, it's not its own placement.

so every other placement in your chart has influence over it, that's why i never related to taurus sun stuff because i dont have any other earth placements in my chart and mercury in gemini is my dominant planet- so i had to look at gemini sun stuff, but i didnt know that until i was like knee deep into astrology.

stereotypes are not only harmful, but also largely inaccurate.

and pop astrology also loves to convey the understanding that astrology can be segmented into little pieces, when it absolutely cannot.

"what drives u based on ur mars sign!! cancer mars: ur family :))))" Die.

BUT- say someone Does actually relate to that!!! there's 2 possibilities: they relate to it and they have mars in cancer OR they relate to it and they Don't have mars in cancer

in both of these scenarios, we are completely overlooking the rest of the chart-

you can't make astrology bite sized without also stripping it of all depth. but you can't deliver in depth astrology without it being overwhelming.

kind of a lose-lose, huh?

here's where we need to understand astrology as if it is a science.

astrology is literally an ecosystem, this is how ive always viewed it. you can't interpret one planet on it's own without taking into consideration the aspects it has to it, the degree it's in, the signs that the planets aspecting it are in.

this is scary, yes, and a great way to ward off beginners, absolutely. But if you think it's scary, then you're overlooking the beauty of learning about something that's an ecosystem.

the beauty is you can't interpret one thing on its own, because everything else will follow.

you cant sit down and learn one thing, because you'll learn a whole slew of things and feel like it's never ending- which can be overwhelming for some and satisfying for others.

imagine walking on a floor covered in wires that are tangled with each other. you kneel down and try to pick up one wire and while you can see part of it clearly, it also brings up like 500 other wires for you to untangle as well.

that's what learning astrology is like.

in my experience, i picked up mercury, and mercury brought with it gemini, saturn, what sextiles are, what conjunctions are, the sun, degree theory, aries, and it just kept going.

and the more wires you pick up, the more wires they bring with them.

this is why i hate pop astrology so much- they're picking up one wire, cutting both visible ends of it and ripping it out of tangled mess that is the floor we stand on.

now we don't know where the rest of that wire is because it was forcibly removed from the bunch.

SO! this is why i try so hard to make these posts and explain how literally Everything depends.

lemme explain to u what is up. But also first i need u to know that if ur an earth sign, DO NOT TAKE THIS PERSONALLY 💔💔💔💔 there are many other factors at play here i dont just outright hate earth signs instantly but im not. Fond of them. the shitty ones anyway

ok so for starters, i have less than 1 earth placement in my whole chart (sun in 29° taurus that is Obliterated by the rest of my chart and made into 100% gemini), so im already not a big enjoyer of earth ofc

But lemme explain real quick-

capricorn is the most respectable earth sign to me, i generally love capricorns- virgo is 2nd place, they're usually chill- Taurus is 1,467,892,682,257,109,067th place.

so to be fair i mostly have beef with taurus But the other earth signs i got beef with too if they're garbage enough-

AND IK PPL ARE GONNA COME FOR ME so let me clarify immediately that i KNOW GOOD TAURUS PLACEMENTS- there are totally some tauruses that are super fucking dope, this is just a very broad statement im making n i am aware of that but Hear Me Out!!!!

i have pulled like a billion charts by now and ive noticed that people with serious issues, especially issues surrounding their self, have Mostly taurus placements.

these issues can be just about anything but it's Usually around their own psyche, like they dont know themselves fully and they lack drive or willpower.

and i know someone's gonna be like "well u just said ur sun is in 29° taurus" Ok well here's what's up- Im talkin abt taurus stellium kinda stuff, but in my case with my singular taurus/earth placement, yes i did actually have a period in my life where i didnt know myself and lacked drive, but i powered thru it God bless my saturn in 1st house 🙏🙏🙏

so ive begun to believe that where ppl love to say saturn is the great malefic, Taurus is actually the great malefic because it grounds an individual So Much that they cannot find themselves.

not to mention that earth isnt even a primary element- in the entirety of the universe, earth is incredibly finite and rare. it doesn't create itself, it's created by everything else like fire, water and air.

so this has actually sparked a theory in my head that i have put to test multiple times and it has held up every single time-

earth placements are like outlines waiting to be colored in by the rest of the chart.

what i mean by this is if you're a capricorn rising, but say you have like 1 billion aries placements, your capricorn will be colored in by aries, so you end up an aries-influenced capricorn (some of the best ppl btw)

or on the flip side, if you're a cap sun/mercury but you're a cancer rising, you're a cancer-influenced capricorn (also some of the best ppl when worked on bc ofc there's oppositions there)

this applies to all earth signs, but capricorn seems to be the most like- Easily influenced, probably because the cardinal energy makes them less stagnant.

as such, virgo is also influenced pretty easily because they're the mutable earth sign.

whereas taurus is much harder to influence because it's double earth (fixed + earth).

i think this is where the issues are with mostly taurus placements. if you have, say, sun, moon, mercury, saturn and maybe even uranus, all in taurus, the rest of your chart won't have a whole lot of room to influence the earth enough to make it like. Normal.

plus, earth is the only element that literally Does not move. earthquakes and landslides? Generally caused by activity of the other elements.

earth cannot move on its own, it just. Sits there.

water flows, wind blows, fire spreads, earth just... is.

plants Grow, yes, but only with the help of the other elements.

this is why i say you NEED placements in one of the other 3 elements in order to color or Activate your earth placement to make it Do Something, otherwise too many earth signs (very specifically taurus) in a chart and you might find it very difficult to Move in life, to find drive to do things, etc.

taurus is literally the epitome of an Obstacle. (again im talking about taurus the Sign in a Planet, not People who have taurus placements)

and i saw something a bit ago that said the worst sun and moon combo to have is earth sun, water moon- And i have either that, or double air- But the absolute WORST sun and moon combo in terms of Signs??? Taurus sun, cancer moon. Because that is literally immovable object vs unstoppable force.

to reiterate, i have seen plenty of healthy and lovely taurus placements, Melanie Martinez has her sun, mercury and maybe moon (bc it's 0° and im not sure if the time i have for her is super exact) all in taurus and i love her sm- but she's also a scorpio rising and has pluto in her 1st house which totally outweighs a lot of that taurus energy and transmutes it into what it should be.

to me, she is totally what taurus energy Should be. very artistic, gentle, slow-moving yes but not lacking drive or anything.

on the opposite side of the coin, we have jojo siwa, yknow Kammrmas a BICTH!!!! I SHOulda KNOWN EBTETETT!!!!! IF I HAAD A WIUSH I WOUDLEVVENEVVER E F F E D AORUDNDN!!!!!

she has sun, mercury, venus and north node all in taurus with her moon and chiron in capricorn, and she's a solid of example of what excessive taurus/earth placements Can do to someone- she clearly doesn't know what She wants because unfortunately she didnt get to be her own person because she grew up a child star- she grew into what her mom thought the people wanted to see, and now she can't get out of it

so she's trying to startle us with this whole karma rebrand fiasco because her jupiter is in leo and her rising is in aries- two fire signs, but not enough to outweigh the earth, especially because leo is fixed.

and with mercury in taurus, she literally cannot think about how to get out of it properly, she can't think outside the box because taurus is the box that mercury Despises.

i know all of this sounds a little (or very) biased or just dumb, but this is what I've legitimately observed in unevolved taurus placements-

earth signs as a whole ya im not a Huge fan of, but my mom is an aries influenced capricorn so id be lying if i said i absolutely hated all of them

and ofc awsten knight is a taurus rising with 99% capricorn placements, but his moon and saturn are both in air signs (gemini and aquarius respectively), and since saturn rules capricorn, that gives all of his cap placements an air/uranus influence (which explains why he's so peculiar sometimes but he's silly so it's ok)

I actually haven’t seen many people talk about this but, as a Taurus sun in the second house at 14 degrees I can definitely tell you the combination of Fixed earth almost makes it feel like it’s something in your chart that does not need to change, and that’s what astrology is about, your planets evolve, your expression of them change and when you have Taurus placements they present themselves as perfect.

Mutable signs are swayed with time because they’re open to growth, while cardinal seeks the growth but fixed signs consider their perspective as perfect and keep it the same. Taurus specifically being the stubborn bull.

I also say this as self awareness because even with my Aries and Pisces placements I am forever categorized by stubbornness because that Taurus sun refuses change.

Not to mention you bring up Taurus sun with a Cancer moon, and it’s funny that the moon is exalted in Taurus, because Taurus is so unapologetically itself that the moon feels comfort expressing itself fully in it.

So yes people rarely talk about how easy it is for Taurus placements to fall into negative mindsets and it’s something that needs a good conversation on !
