can i ask what makes "sucks" a slur? ive never heard that before and google isn't really helping me much and i'm tryin to remove all bad language from my vocab too :/

it’s basically like.. ‘sucks’ = ‘sucks dick’ ‘suck a dick’ etc which is a “woman’s/gay man’s” accepted role and it’s just a way to demean people by basically saying that suckin a dick is the lowest position you can be in..

from what i understand it was 80s slang -

i can understand people wanting to get rid of language that’s homophobic and sexist - i think that’s a good thing that people wanna do that - and of course mistakes and misinformation will be found along the way.  no need to attack someone for getting it wrong

isn’t it better that people care and make mistakes than not care and just keep doing harmful shit?

i dunno, i’m not an expert on any of this stuff.  but i just wanna believe the best of people.  i just have - things are so fucking bleak, ya know?

Fun fact: In one interview the creators mentioned that one reason everyone’s heads are shaped like really recognizable shapes (Candace is the letter p, Phineas is obviously just a triangle) is so its way easier for younger kids to draw them. Not being able to to draw your favorite characters when you’re little can be really frustrating and kind of put you off drawing all together.
