"I loved how stranger things ended! There was nothing wrong with it at all!"
me as a teenager: man it sucks to have no privacy or autonomy but i guess its for a good reason. when i turn 18 i will realise how young i was and understand why they did all that.
me as an adult: teenagers are an oppressed class, their abuse is normalised and systemic and they need to start killing people
I GOT FINN TICKETTSGSIUGADDUGIADFHIUSFDIUHSDFIHUSDFUIHIUHSFD HUUZAAAHHHHHHH

finn wolfhard releasing a song called 'maggie', the name of mike's wife in 'how to disappear completely', which features these lyrics
serendipity
hey so i really REALLY don't wanna come off as misogynistic. thats not at all my intent with this, and i just wanted to clarify before anyone says that i just want to speak over women.
i think that women need to stop dictating how queer men should be represented. i particularly think that the amount of women who are bylers is extremely fetishistic regardless of whether these women are queer, which i see as an extremely common excuse for fetishistic behavior.
the heated rivalry fandom is almost entirely women. wonder why.
i just think that media ABOUT QUEER MEN should be made FOR QUEER MEN and not for fetishistic women.
this is not at all to say that women shouldn't be bylers. there are absolutely respectful ways for women to be fans of gay ships, and i'm definitely not saying that every woman in this fandom is just being weird towards gay men. however, i do think that it's important to recognize gay men's voices in these spaces, and not drown them out.
the excuse for misogyny in the byler fandom is often "well bylers are mostly women actually". women can still be extremely misogynistic, so this excuse is null. and honestly, i think it would be better if the fandom was mostly gay men, because it would make sense for gay men to focus on gay men. whenever the fandom is accused of being fetishistic, the excuse is "well bylers are mostly QUEER women actually". queer women can still be extremely fetishistic towards gay men. and by queer, they usually mean bisexual and just use the word queer to excuse this behavior.
so what i'm saying is, make space for gay men in these fandoms. theres a silent portion of the fandom (myself included) that has absolutely not been included in these discussions.
.
Mike who thought it was better to die than speak.
He was never good with putting his full feelings into words, he usually messed it up.
So he wrote. And wrote and wrote.
Till he got callouses from outlining and writing in black journals.
Then he would push through the burn out and type it out. His roommate yelled at him constantly about the clacking of keys.
Years it took, to write the book. It took years to get it perfected . And for a publishing company to accept it and well... Publish it.
The first time he saw it on shelves he cried. Then he saw the reactions,
People loved it, they saw themselves in the characters, the emotions, the love stories. Mike had made an impact.
And yet the one person he wrote it for... they were a stranger still
For my oath
I'm sorry, for all the times I should've acted, and didn't.
That was until one day, he was signing books, running on two hours of sleep and double shot of espresso.
Finally the last person in line came up, he went through the normal script
"thanks for coming, who can I dedicate this too?"
He sounded tired. Hopefully he didn't come off rude but he probably did.
"to.. Will Byers?" The voice came. It was older than he remembered. Just as gentle, some things never changed, like the look that mike gave when he looked up to see his Will.
"I don't mind if we make up for all those times that you regret." Will said.
Mike who learned that it was harder to speak, to pour it out. He knew that will was deserving of it though, the truth. And he learned he was tried of dying, mike wheeler wanted to live.

Mike: “There’s still some strawberry in Will’s mouth.” 🍓
invincible art soon?!!!?????!?!?
pov a certain byler gets so mad at the duffers for gpting the whole script so they proceed to ai an whole entire fic
Why does no one understand byler’s dynamic anymore?
Will does not feel bitter toward Mike for not returning his feelings. That’s his best friend. Will doesn’t think that his feelings are Mike’s responsibility. He would never talk shit about him even if his heart was completely broken. If anything, Will feels sorry that he burdened Mike with his feelings.
Will would never treat Mike the way that the fandom does. He would never say that Mike isn’t worthy of his love. That’s literally Mike’s worst nightmare. Will CANONICALLY said that he would never feel that way.
