I've talked about @olaplex until I've turned hoarse. And then I find out the most interesting use of @olaplex thanks to my reader Sania. Sania says: "Dear @uaebeautyeditor I have frizzy curly hair and living in U.K. I don't have the luxury to get professional blowdries as they cost too much here. I love keratin treatments but have read on your blog that they are very damaging. I can't help it and I'm addicted to keratin. Please tell me how to minimize the damage. Don't tell me to stop keratin because I can't. 😞" Dear #Sania my stance on keratin treatment is still unchanged but there is a solution to reduce the keratin damage and it is called @olaplex The Olaplex Bond Reparation System works great with keratin treatments. By using this beforehand, hair will be silkier, softer, shinier and stronger. Hair will also be more flexible and resistant to breakage. Be warned however Sania that it is important to do this before beginning a keratin treatment as Olaplex penetrates hair from within to strengthen. May I also suggest to look for alternative hair gloss treatments and also ask your hair dresser to keep a safe distance of one inch from your scalp. Happy bonding 😘 Yours mane tossingly Uaebeautyeditor #dubaipr #prdubai #dubaiinfluencer #dubaibeautyblogger #uaebeautyeditor #dubaimedia #dubaievent #dubailife #health #beauty #skincare #dubaidiaries #mummydiaries #hudabeauty #mommyblogger #chanel #foodcoma #friends #uaebeautyeditor #dubaiblogger #bloggerang #follow #dubailuxury #bbloggers

As Angelina Jolie and Rachel Ray jump on the derma roller bandwagon, we see a lot of women around the globe trying to use microneedling to help treat acne and prevent aging. But is that a true boon or just a fad? Well UAE Beauty editor has an answer for which we need to give you a background. A derma roller is one of the devices used in micro-needling which is the process of pricking tiny holes in the skin to stimulate collagen production. The technical name for this is “Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy” which is abbreviated as PCI or CIT. It’s been used by dermatologists for the last decade or so as a way to reduce wrinkles and scar tissue without significant side effects. So yes, used in the correct manner, derma roller helps with acne scars acne and anti aging greatly. But as spider man says, with great power comes great responsibility. If not done right, derma roller can scar you for life. May we also point out that all derma rollers are not created equal, and the importance of the right size of needles, sterilization, before and after application of treatments all plays a vital role in whether this will prove hugely effective or a disaster. Although anything between 1.0 mm and 2.0 mm may prove effective, we at UAE Beauty editor advise our beauties to error on the size of caution and to leave this to dermatologists. However, you might be able to safely use something as small as 0.5 mm at home but please remember that with that you need to combine an effective skincare serum to get any real results. We do recommend getting one with titanium / medical grade stainless steel needles if possible, and make sure the roller comes with a storage case (helps with hygiene). Be warned: it hurts. In next post we will tell you how to use derma roller the proper way. Yours painfully UAE Beauty editor
Neutrogena is one of the most popular sunscreens in the market but most of its formulas are not ideal as they lack the best sunscreen ingredient:Titanium Dioxide Titanium Dioxide Commonly listed as TiO2, this ingredient is a physical blocker in sunscreens and is a white, opaque and naturally-occurring mineral found in many products, ranging from paint to food to cosmetics. In cosmetics, it has been chemically processed to remove the impurities, leaving the pure, white pigment available for use. Hence, sunscreens containing Titanium Dioxide most often leave an unattractive white cast. The reason why SPF 15 + SPF 15 doesn't = SPF 30 is because some SPF ingredients can interfere with each other, or stabilize each other. This has to do with issues of photostability in the sunscreen. Some ingredients degrade other ingredients, thus offering less protection overall. A commonly-cited example is uncoated titan Here's a quick guide to find the best products to protect your family from the sun: --Use a sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 15 and a maximum of SPF 50; --Make sure labels list UVA and UVB (or broad spectrum protection); --Avoid products containing oxybenzone and retinyl palminate if you're concerned about potentially toxic chemicals; --Choose lotions versus spray sunscreens for a more evenly distributed protection. Remember to apply at least 2 ounces of lotion (about a shot glass full) and reapply often. The sun breaks down the ingredients in sunscreen that protect your skin. Experts recommend reapplying every two hours, or after swimming or heavy sweating.
Why do we need to use antioxidants every day Skincare is one of the many areas where antioxidants are of high importance. We don't want to give you a lot of technical mumbo jumbo but Antioxidants help prevent free radical damage to your skin. Now, what is free radical damage and how does it concern you: free-radical damage causes collagen and other vital skin functions to break down. A great skin-care product, whether it comes in a liquid, gel, serum, lotion, or cream, should contain a potent assortment of stable antioxidants to interrupt free-radical damage and keep it from harming your skin. When you are young your body produces antioxidants on its own. This changes as we age. #olay #cleaning #makeupaddict #makeupaddiction #olayarabia #dubai #mydubai #beautybloggers #uaebeautybloggers #followforfollow #instadaily #instamood #lotd #perfumeblogger #nars #audacious #lipstick #craze #timeless #ceferulic #skincaredubai If we don't get enough antioxidant protection, either from our own body's production, from diet then we will have less collagen and more wrinkles and pigmentation. Sooooo stock up on antioxidants. But not just any antioxidants. Make sure they are freshly produced and in a stable formulae well packaged and stored properly to help you stay young forever. I've waited so long to own a Luna foreo as I had heard many great things about it. Many fellow bloggers raved about how it had replaced their Clarisonic brush permanently and is helping them in antiaging. I finally bought it last month and used it to replace Clarisonic in my beauty routine. Next week will mark a full cycle of my using Luna foreo and I'll update you on the difference between Clarisonic and Foreo and compare which one is better. Meanwhile like it if you want a full review and comment and tell me if you have used it already.
Why you should never apply Vitamin E creams to acne scars and Best Ways to treat your acne scars Research has clearly shown vitamin E has absolutely no beneficial effect on scars. Neither does rubbing lemon or honey. So please stop wasting your time. Also, Laser and chemical peels should be your last option not the first option when you have acne scars. Make sure you have exhausted the following before you shell out money to the laser clinics and beauty salons: Cortisone creams: If your scar is red or swollen, use a cortisone cream to calm your skin. The cortisone is absorbed by skin cells and reduces inflammation. You can buy skin creams with cortisone without a prescription. My favorite: Alfacort Skin lightening creams: Hydroquinone is a popular skin lightening agent which has recently fallen out of favor due to its potential carcinogenic effects. However spot treatment for this is effective for old scars. Hydroquinone creams are not effective on pink to red acne marks because they're not related to melanin, which means that using hydroquinone or other types of melanin inhibiting skin-lightening ingredients is largely unhelpful. Kojic acid (a natural skin lightener derived from mushroom extract), arbutin (also called bearberry extract), and vitamin C (ascorbic acid) are great alternative ingredients to look for in lightening creams. Bha exfoliants: The benefits of a well-formulated BHA (beta hydroxy acid, active ingredient salicylic acid) exfoliant used daily not only exfoliates the surface of the skin but also penetrates oil so it can reach inside the pore, dissolving the clogs that lead to breakouts. BHA is also a potent anti-inflammatory that reduces redness. Our pick: Nip fab extreme pads. Rub it gently over your scars and see them fade away 😊#olayarabia #makeupaddict #makeupaddiction #olayarabia #dubai #mydubai #beautybloggers #uaebeautybloggers #prdubai #mydubai #dubaidiaries #dubaimedia #dubaievents #bbloggers #bloggeratti
Sajida from Glasgow wants a review of this wondrous cream from Body shop. Dear Sajida, the science behind this cream is solid. One one hand it has some great humectant moisturizers and on the other hand it has fat soluble vitamin C. But......let's go into some detail to tell you what's wrong. Listed as tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, The Body Shop utilise their star ingredient in this lipid (fat) soluble form, which is more stable than other forms of vitamin C (such as water-soluble ascorbic acid). It is believed that using lipid-soluble forms allows the ingredient to penetrate skin more easily when applied topically (as its structure more closely mimics that of the skin’s natural lipids). Combine that with aloe Vera as listed in the ingredients it would have been a great winner if not for the jar packaging. Jar packaging is not only unsanitary but also would waste any Vitamin C and hence will fail to prevent free radical damage. All in all it isn't a bad moisturizer if you use a sanitary spoon to take it out but after a few weeks the vitamin C would have already oxidized and hence rendered the cream useless for anything other than moisturizing.
