Black Women Matter.

I have worked as a medical provider in pediatrics for about three years handling cases where black women who have been victims of intimate partner violence, sexual assault and rape seek my care. I have been very vocal about my support of black women and learning of Toyins sexual assault and death during or directly after a black lives matter protest bought me to actual tears today. I really wanted to share my experience as a healthcare provider and as a black woman about how prevelant this trend is in the black community. Please share to reach as many black men (and yes all men period) as I feel obligated to do anything that can prevent a tragedy like this from happening again. I was really emotional during the filming of this so please forgive any inaccuracies as there wasn’t a huge amount of information surrounding her death at the time.
