I don't know who needs to hear this but almost every bit of fresh produce you've got that might be about to go off can likely be safely frozen for use later if you want to keep it, and that the amount of waste generated by consumers is a tiny portion of food waste generally and you're not a bad or wasteful person if you forgot your veggies or you weren't feeling well enough to cook.

The reason Poles on here are trying to get you to call Maria Skłodowska*-Curie by her proper name isn't because we're entitled or arrogant, it's because she used the name Skłodowska-Curie, she emphasised her Polishness her whole life, she faced huge amounts of xenophobia in France for being Polish, and now a lot of people think she was French.
So, just curious how many writers and creators will have to be forcibly outed by relentless harassment before we acknowledge that "This queer characters was written by a cishet person and that's why they're bad" is not good criticism.
Also I cannot overstate how much "We should scrutinize out queer authors MORE" was not the point of this post, or my tags on it. Queer creators already cannot fucking win. If they're not out loud and clear, they get ripped to pieces. If they're out and proud and make art that doesn't rise to the impossible standard of perfectly representing all queer people everywhere they get ripped to pieces.
There isn't a way forward from this without being willing to admit that what is good representation is subjective. There isn't a way forward from this without admitting that we aren't all looking for the same thing in queer media and queer characters, that something not being for me doesn't make it necessarily bad and harmful, and that what we need is more and a greater variety of queer characters, not to force them all into one arbitrary formula.
Less than a day after I posted this, the notes were already filling up with testimonials from creators afraid to represent themselves in their own work because they are aware of the unforgiving scrutiny applied to all marginalized characters and they know their characters will be seen as imperfect representation.
You have to realize that the rigid view of what constitutes "good representation" is not just hurting the privileged creators you deem acceptable targets. It is hurting marginalized creators who want to represent themselves and share their stories in their voices.
You guys don't know about the comic where Nick confesses his love to Judy and she shoots him down to get dicked down by another rabbit who leaves her when she gets pregnant and now Nick says he'll help raise her kids while hoping that he'll convince her to fuck him
Or about the one where Judy and Nick are married want to have a kid so Judy starts fucking rabbits to get pregnant but secretly keeps taking her birth control bc she likes cheating on Nick and convinces him that they should have a cuckoldry relationship that involves another fox and Nick is no longer allowed to have sex at all
Or the one where Judy tries to go undercover at a strip club to find a drug ring and she becomes an addict to the point of stealing drugs from the police evidence lockers and getting her holes prolapsed by drug dealers

I feel like it's time for Hetalia fans to move on from calling Hetalia and its fandom trash. If you don't like it, why are you here? This fandom isn't unique in having problems, yet so many fans act as if we're the single worst, most embarrassing fandom with the most embarrassing series in existence. It wasn't meant to be a documentary, get over it.
It's silly, and honestly the people who are so ashamed are the ones that are embarrassing. I've told multiple random anime fans I liked Hetalia and you know what happened? They either thought nothing of it or said, "Oh, Hetalia! I remember that!" with amusement and even fondness. I've gone to cons and Disney in Hetalia cosplay and the people who recognised me were only ever positive. I've explained the concept of Hetalia to various people and no one batted an eye. The personified nations concept isn't new. And you know, there are some pretty questionable historical depictions out there, too, so it's not like we're the only strange ones. Are there Hetalia antis out there? Of course. But why even feed them?
If you're so freaked out by the idea of being associated with Hetalia, then either you're the embarrassing one, you need to get better friends who will respect you, or you need to stop caring about the opinions of judgemental people. You know what's cool, though? Owning what you like and being the representation of the fandom you want to see. Basically, just...be a mature person and learn how to explain your interests without dragging everyone else into your own insecurities.
I think it's okay to express opinions, but I don't feel it's fair to generalise or outright bash something in front of a bunch of people who might enjoy that thing.
Found this in the comments of Shaun's latest video on Andrew Tate, in which he talks pretty extensively about how important it is for men to find ways to be confident in their genders without trying to adhere to, or enforce, anyone else's ideas of manhood on anyone.
Highly recommend checking it out.
Anyway. I rarely see folks talk about the positive impact transmascs have on manhood as a whole, and I think it's important to acknowledge and celebrate that.
