Thoughts on a 25 year old game called Wind Waker, the change from Tetra to Zelda is really disappointing because she becomes basically a whole different person and is damseled despite being extremely capable and having an entire pirate crew at her disposal

It’s just a complete character switch, because tetra would absolutely not accept being stuffed into a secret chamber for her own safety and it bugs me. So lame

This is my favourite game. Every part of it sucks, but each part sucks in a way that gestures toward something that would be awesome were it not actively being undermined by every other part. Just helped a 14-year-old get a new library card, after which she said "Do you want to see something cool I drew?" Of course I said yes. So she pulled a small canvas out of her bag on which she had drawn many many very good sharks in various poses. And then she proceeded to tell me about all the kinds of sharks she had drawn (I like sharks but am not good at identifying them beyond the really obvious ones like hammerheads) and shared all her feelings about how cool cookie cutter sharks are. (They are extremely cool.)
