I see some allistic people with adhd get mad about this phrasing because “it’s saying that adhd is less important than autism” but as someone who’s had the autistic label on me for the majority of my life, my problem with it is allistics with adhd on this site and on twitter really REALLY want to be able to use the autistic label, and act as though they’re “basically the same” as us and “pretty much on the same spectrum” except they’re “less r*tarded and more capable” than their autistic “cousins.” I’m not saying this is the mindset of every person with adhd, just a popular mindset among many allistics with adhd on tumblr and Twitter that went from “solidarity” to “I’m gonna make jokes about having diet autism.” You don’t have diet autism, cause if you did hate groups would be talking of eradicating you too.
