I live with my parents and siblings. We used to lead a peaceful life in our home, dreaming of completing the construction of our new house to move in and live comfortably. My father worked tirelessly to finish it, but due to the Israeli aggression on Gaza, we couldn’t complete the construction, and we lost our home. My father also lost his job because of the border closures and the complete destruction of the company where he worked.

A month into the war, our house and neighborhood were entirely destroyed by bombings, leaving my father with a head injury. We lost everything we owned—clothes, furniture, blankets, and even my personal belongings, such as my university laptop and books. We were forcibly displaced more than ten times, seeking refuge in 15 different shelters in an attempt to survive.”

This is where they and their neighbours homes once stood.

Sondos’ continues on to say, “The houses shown in the previous photos, including ours, were owned by our neighbors. Many of them are now displaced in the south and are unable to return to check on their homes. All of these properties have been reduced to rubble.

However, the harsh living conditions in Gaza, coupled with the lack of job opportunities, have deprived us of the ability to secure even the most basic necessities, such as water, food, and clothing. The cold has taken its toll on our bodies, and hunger has ravaged our stomachs.

I kindly ask anyone capable of helping to provide some essentials, such as shelter, food, clothing, and blankets. I would be deeply grateful for your support.”

Even though I am an atheist, I know others aren’t. So, I just want to say to them that I hope Allah may be with this family and help to guide them to where they need to go.

I think it's really important to de-gender body parts. A vagina can be a male body part when a man has one. A penis can be a female body part when a woman has one. This means we stop using the words "female" as a replacement for when we want to talk about something related to vaginas, breasts, uteri, clitoris etc. We stop using the term "male bodied" or "male body parts" as a stand in for talking about penis and testicles and prostates. It's a subtle kind of sex negativity and body negativity that surrounds this use of language. People are ashamed to say the words vagina and penis. Gendered language acts as the cloak for that shame, which is also why some people get really angry about this idea. But I think unpacking that shame and desensitizing it will be healthy for all people in the long run. No one needs to be scared of the bodies that we have! Thats unhinged!

This also impacts intersex people. Since intersex people are born with sex characteristics that don't fit into a binary, it benefits them when society is specific about what they mean instead of using euphemisms. Doctor needs to know what kind of routine check ups to schedule for? We have words for that: uterus. prostate. breasts. Because there are people with all of these, none of these and every combination: F and M are completely useless categories when discussing the human body. There's really no reason to assigned gendered language to sex characteristics, other than to further transphobia and intersexism. You only need to take notice of how feminist identified transphobes wield "biological female" and "biological male" as weapons to see that much.

Omg, yes!! I read a few fics on that!! I have wanted to make a doodle of that!! I love drawing Stephen so much!!! Levi (his cloak) is also really fun to draw! I love all of the layers that his outfit has haha.

I’ve been thinking of drawing the BBC Abominable Bride variants of Johnlock and later in a further life, becoming Strange & Ross/Everstrange. That way there’s a nice stark contrast in appearance and demeanour overall.

She & her late spouse were both retired and after his passing so went more than half of their finances. She has not been able to receive her widow benefits.
