in hindsight one of my favorite things about the will conversation is how eddie keeps skating by without having to genuinely confront the reasons behind his decisions, even to himself. like i think eddie put buck in the will running on the adrenaline of the well and then proceeded to genuinely not think about it for a year, except MAYBE to occasionally smile smugly to himself thinking about what a good choice he made. then he reveals it to buck essentially as an emotional bludgeon, at which point buck asks him straight up why he did it but is clearly Not in a space where he would meaningfully push back on eddie's bullshit answers the way he usually would. so eddie does an eddie and gives an answer with a kernal of truth but is not meaningfully relevant to the actual question, then gets to pat himself on the back for doing a good best friend job at getting through to buck while not having to think about his ACTUAL reasons for doing it.

and the thing is i do not think he means to lie or withhold even! I think he told a version of the truth as he is able to process it and has since gone back to his day to day life with zero reflection on the incompleteness of his answers. i think it maybe twinges in his mind occasionally and occurs to him that he wasn't strictly speaking completely transparent with buck, but then he's like 'well what else would i have told him?' and his brain puts up big warning signs and static down that road of thought, and eddie looks at it and is like okay <3 yay <3 and turns away from that path without hesitation and ceases to worry about it. absolute icon.

Michael did you see me feed the dog bacon? and michael was like Don't bring me into this i'm not the one who brought the dog home. and harry was like Can i feed the dog bacon and athena and may and michael and bobby all said No. now that bobby is gone athena lets the dog sit on the sofa sometimes and sometimes it'll put its doggy head in her lap and she'll say What are we gonna do with ourselves now...and the dog will drool on her and she'll say This is why i don't let you sit on the sofa. sometimes when she does something reckless and illegal she lets the dog ride along with her in the car because the dog likes to bite people so it can be helpful to have around. she never introduces it as her dog though she always say That dog in my passenger seat? I have no idea where he came from...must've left my car door open. meanwhile the dog has escaped the car and has bitten someone's leg off

we’ve literally been having this conversation for YEARS but it’s incredible how this fandom, centered around a mlm ship btw, has been a thing for nearly a decade and it’s still trying to bend over backwards to prove that one of the actors is the ultimate villain whose villainous homophobic ways are never going to let the ship happen. all his fault btw, nobody else’s. while the other guy is an innocent feminist baby angel ally who’s never done anything wrong in his thirty-something old baby angel life. but they should kiss and fuck for our entertainment btw. oh, and they should make out during a fan photo op, otherwise we have to cancel them forever for the 42nd time. but even if they did, we’re still going to call one of them a homophobe because the makeout lacked enthusiasm or something. like. idk maybe it’s time to admit that we don’t know these people. we don’t know what they really think or feel like. about anything. even if they have social media and do interviews and pretend to enjoy being asked the same questions over and over again. and we shouldn’t put them on pedestals or try to rip them apart based on instagram likes, their willingness to reassure everyone that the ship is sooo totally going to happen eventually, and their overall vibes. maybe they’re just two guys doing their fucking job and not really thinking beyond that? maybe they’re both complicated people who feel and do things that don’t always make sense and there’s no point in trying to analyze any of that because we don’t know them personally? maybe they’re imperfect or have their own problems, flaws and issues that we can’t understand because we don’t know them?

Albert was such a fun and sweet character, man. he ran from Seoul to meet a brother he had never talked to or actually met before, blindly trusting that they'll be fine because they're brothers and because he believed Chim was good and cool. wanted to get along with all of Chim's friends because he's never had a group like this before, his idea of a family was more rigid and smaller, and seeing the family his brother had found made him want to find it too. became roommates with Buck, huffed and puffed about it teasingly but always was a solid friend who actually liked Buck. opened up to Maddie and became her friend too when she wanted to talk, never taking sides in any conflict and instead trying to have both sides' back. tried to follow his brother's career path, gave his best, and then followed something new when he knew he needed a change. he had his own desire for his family to reconcile and he was stubborn in his own way and he was loving in every way he could try too. buckley-han family had two pairs of siblings and it will always be special to me
