You ever think back to how annoying it was to be like 5 years old and being frustrated about how you know exactly what you're trying to say, but you lack the vocabulary to express it, so you're just stuck trying to repeat the words you do know with different tones in hopes that one of them would make it click and people would understand what you've been trying to say this whole time?

Like trying to ask adults hypothetical questions like "what would happen if clouds were cotton candy?" and what you're trying to ask is "if clouds were made out of sugar instead of water (which I know they are not), how would it practically alter the way they function?" and adults would just answer "no, they're made out of water." And you're stuck repeating "yes, but IF they were", and they're stuck repeating "no, but they are not", and you're at a loss of how to explain the concept of "hypothetical question" to an adult, who clearly doesn't seem to understand what a hypothetical question is, and you don't know the word "hypothetical" because you are literally five years old.

They don't know if I need glasses or how I get home at night. They don't know where I live, who I live with, or what I do on the weekends. I get that most of the world doesn't really care about russians right now because well. We are the bad guys. But please, talk about russian queers. I don't know what else to say. We exist. We want to matter at least to someone.

They banned transition in July. Today they're banning LGBTQ+. They declared LGBT+ an extremist movement. All the people who are themselves are now a “movement”, and the organizations that help them are “extremist”. There's no way back as they already banned it.

Today is the day when all the hope for at least a semi-safe future I had in me just got annihilated. At the moment, living in Russia is just dangerous, especially if you are against the war with Ukraine and now it's even worse. The majority of queer people do not support our goverement's actions already, so the Kremlin will try to convince all people that only "perverts" who do not like "traditional values" are against the war. Besides, every person can be accused as "extremist" for being activist who doesn't follow the commom idea. Being LGBTQ+ is a crime now at all levels of law and being.

It all leads to the same: the war against Ukraine must be stopped. Support Ukraine in he first place and you will support everyone.
