Rhys just straight up read Tarquinās mind and called him out for what he was thinking š
The interaction in my head now:
Okay, so I know everyone hated the ending to Dracula: A Love Tale, but hear me outā¦
the ending was actually perfect because Elisabeta followed Vlad into death. I know itās meant to be ambiguous, but the choice not to show Elisabeta/Mina was intentional.
She literally says to Vlad before he makes what seems to be an incredibly rash decision,
āBut youāre my freedom- youāre my freedom. Wherever you go, I go.ā
What I hated about this film was the amount of time (or lack thereof) those two got to have together before the end. Now THAT is fākin TRASH š
Why is there NO fanfics for āDracula: A Love Taleā. Itās is so wrong to want imagine myself with a vampire lover that will love for the rest of his immortality and will search for me through the centuries????
Finally finished The Primal of Blood and Bone andā¦

āNot A Spoilerā
But just know that Shea isnāt mentioned once. So if you were hoping for that little loose end to finally be tied, prepare to be as disappointed as I am.
My biggest complaint is that half the book is straight up just exposition for the prequels. I donāt think I wouldāve minded as much if Iād listened to it on audible or something, but reading nearly 2,000 pages of shit Iāve already read?⦠yeah, no.
I will say, the book ended on a pretty fād up cliffhanger, so maybe thatās why Iām so pissed⦠or maybe itās because I have more questions, despite my previous questions still going unanswered, I donāt know.
I still enjoyed it, however, just⦠Iām very sad. The ending was a straight up gut punch for me.
I donāt know if I should cry or destroy my room.
prythian - and the night court especially - should thank their stars every day that nesta archeron with the power of death and the dread trove at her command just wants a peaceful life rather than conquering them all with her army of the dead
Finally getting to read āThe Primal of Blood and Boneā and find myself giggling gleefully on every page. I forgot how fucking hilarious these characters are in dire situations
The seven year War that took place 500 years before the events in ACOTAR had almost nothing to do with freeing enslaved mortals. It was about trade and protecting forged supplies being stored UTM. The Night Court and Hybern were alliesā¦they were working together⦠why is no one talking about this, or is this old news?...
(A Court of Wings and Ruin, Two Years Before The Wall: Rhysandā
If Rhysand is your āShadow-Daddy,ā look away now- right now, because this is the part where I question Rhysandās motives š
Before I get š© for this, (if youāre still here) just know that I used to think Rhysand was āthe villain.ā However, Iām starting to believe Rhys may have some debts that need to be paid off; perhaps some unfulfilled bargain(s) from the past coming back to haunt himā¦
So the Cauldron was tainted at some point and wicked things were āforged,ā but it was eventually stolen back āat great cost.ā
I doubt the price was Rhysandās knee, but the direction my mind is going makes this tongue-in-cheek āsecretā all the more hilarious.
He tries bargaining Feyreās bones, but even the Bone Carver knows Rhys isnāt that heartless.
However, you wanna know just how heartless Rhysand is at this point in the story?⦠(besides the hundred examples I donāt have time to list atm)
Yes, thatās rightāRhysandās goal is to find and nullify the Cauldron, knowing very well that the act will kill Feyre in the process. That ādevastationā on Rhysās face is guilt.
Feyre almost puts two and two together, (but sheās an idiot in lust)ā
⢠Rhysandās potential motives and suspicious captureā
Rhysand was rivaling his predecessor to take over even before the war⦠and allied himself with two of the most powerful Illyrians to do it
Rhysās father realized what he was doing and separated them to try to stop it⦠and he was captured.
Although itās implied Amarantha led to Rhysās capture, his father seems a more likely suspect.
We donāt know when Amren came into the picture, just that it was sometime after (usurping his father) gaining the title of High Lord. Iām starting to think Amren is who Rhysand made a bargain withāwhy sheās second in command, despite not having as much power as beforeāwhy she was brought back when Rhys was resurrected⦠and why Azriel doesnāt seem to trust herā¦but I digressā¦
Since everyoneās so up in arms about ACOTAR, imma drop my cracked theoryā
Rhysand was controlling Amarantha while Under The Mountain and the answer to the riddle actually broke Amaranthaās curse instead. Her plea to Tamlin was for a swift death, knowing the kind of torture Rhysand was capable of.
The end.
Definitely not true, but fun for me to think about.

Probably a controversial opinion about Isbeth, butā¦
I sympathize with her. We have an understanding of what heartmates are through Poppy and Cas, seeing exactly the lengths theyād go to in order to protect one another, (aside from that one time Poppy literally stabbed Cas in the heart, but thatās besides the point)
Anyway, itās hard for me to see the way those two are with one another and then turn around and demonize Isbethās actions because honestly⦠if Poppy hadnāt witnessed a physical manifestation of what could become of her in the same situation, thereās really no reason to assume Poppy wouldnāt do exactly what Isbeth had done, right?
Poppy has always empathized with others, but when it comes to heartmates, we know logic is irrelevant.
The only difference really is that Poppy would actually regret her actions whereas Isbeth obviously did notābut then again, Isbeth didnāt just lose a heartmate, she also lost their son.
By the end of āACOGB,ā I was honestly on the verge of tears as Isbeth told the story of what had happened to her. I couldnāt help but to think of Poppy and Cas. I really donāt think Poppy would let her vengeance carry on as long as Isbethās or even attempt the same crueltyāhowever, Casteel? Yes. I absolutely think he would.
Cas didnāt hold Mr. Tulisā wife and child accountable for harming Poppy because, obviously, his family had nothing to do with his actions.
But if Poppy had actually been killed?ā¦
Iām not so sure Cas wouldāve been as justāI genuinely think he wouldāve let his grief topple over and slaughter the entire Tulis family, to be honest.
It doesnāt excuse Isbethās behavior at all, but it does humanize her, (at least, for me.)
Curious if anyone else felt that or if Iām going way too hard playing devilās advocateā¦
The Strokes, āThe End Has No Endā is about MLKāyou should hear me outā¦
Publicly speaking out against the war in 1967, King experienced major pushback leading to a loss in donors and sponsors. One year following his assassination, (April 4, 1968) the world seemed in agreement with King and took to the streets of Washington, ā1-9-6-9ā (Nov 15, 1969) to demonstrate Kingās teachings in a peaceful march.
People have speculated ā1-9-6-3ā to be in reference to JFKās assassination, (that some argue caused a set back in the civil rights movement) however, I personally speculate ā1-9-6-3ā to be the march on Washington, (Aug 28, 1963) where Kingās infamous āI Have A Dream,ā speech had taken place.
King was a true and tactful leader that unified people against an establishment that (to this day) continues to keep its citizens divided.
King understood the complexities of the power structure; how cheap labor spawned poverty and frustrations; how an inferiority complex (in)bred white supremacy. He understood that those in power would do anything to keep their power at the expense of its own citizens and the only way to dismantle the system is to overthrow it with unity.
King understood the entanglement of foreign and domestic policy, and until itās collectively recognized the cycle of suffering and oppression will continue.
This song is still relevantāitās a call to action just as it is a call for unity. The subtlety of the lyrics can be interpreted in various ways; however, in the great words of Dr Martin Luther King Jr himself, āIn the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.ā
Reading an old Strokes interview and suddenly realizing that Julian Casablancas shaded the fuck outta the band Wallflower⦠how the hell did I miss that?!
If you had kids, would you want them to be musicians?
Casablancas: āIf youāre a musician, probably the fear is that your kid is going to be a shitty musician. Like if youāre Bob Dylan, I can imagine him coming in and saying, āTurn that music down,ā and his son says, āNo you donāt understand my music, Dad,ā and he says, āYeah, I do. Iām Bob Dylan, and itās shitty.ā
I never envisioned that my first conversation with THE Julian Casablancas would be about Bernie-fucking-Sanders.
His heartās in the right place; he knows what heās talking about, (despite being vague about it.)
I guess I just assumed he was a little more radicalized than he actually is, considering the works of journalists/professors/authors he follows.
I know itās hard to accept; I know it hurtsābut Bernie sold out.
He may be an āindependentā senator on paper, but he answers to the same group as the rest of them.
Regardless, much love to Julian for speaking out and engaging with people about the issueāI hope he continues doing it.
Hozier: Francesca ⢠(Song Theory)
āFrancescaā is about the demise of a relationship caused by a miscarriageāhear me outā¦
Hozier: āWhen this song came around, it started from personal experience and then I allowed those themes and some of the imagery from that character (Francesca da Rimini) in and then let the two mix. Itās an example of letting the song have a life above ground and resonate with a life below ground in regard to that character.ā
Taking inspiration from real life figures, Danteās Divine Comedy reimagines an adulterous pair in the second circle of hell: Lust.
Hozier paints a tragically beautiful imageāstuck in a typhoon for all of eternity alongside the person youād give your life for.
In Danteās Divine Comedy, Francesca blames love for her agent of sin. Francesca's persuasive power derives from her language, which echoes that of love poetry, especially from Dante's early poems. In this way, Francesca becomes a reflection of Dante himself; much like Hozier portraying Francescaās convictions of love as his own.
On the surface, this beautiful song is simply a testament of love to a lover lost. That despite all of the trials and tribulations that led to their demise, he would do it all over again without second thought.
But just beyond the surface of Hozierās brilliant reimagining, is a looming darkness I canāt shake.
āDo you think Iād give up?
That this mightāve shook the love from me?
Or that I was on the brink?
How could you think, darlin, Iād scare so easily?ā
⢠The narrator professes that he is fearless to the circumstance they are faced withāthat his love for her will always overcome any hardship, including this one
āNow that itās done,
Thereās not one thing that I would change,
My life was a storm, since I was born
How could I fear any hurricane?
If someone asked me at the end,
Iād tell them put me back in itā
⢠Although this is not something the narrator and his lover planned for, heās prepared to endure this difficulty alongside herāadmitting he has no regrets
āDarlin, I would do it again
If I could hold you for a minute
Iād go through it again
I would still be surprised,
I could find you, darlin, in any life
If I could hold you for a minute
Darlin, I would do it againā
⢠The narrator expresses to his lover that he would experience the hardship of that moment all over again; because she was there to experience it with him
āFor all that was said,
Of where weād end up at the end of it
When the heart would cease,
Ours never knew peace
What good would it be on the far side of things?ā
⢠The narrator reflects on the future plans theyād made together. He goes on to state, āwhen the heart would cease, ours never knew peace,ā indicating that the loss of life had caused unsettling turmoil within the relationshipāquestioning where they would be if the loss had not happened
āIt was too soon,
When that part of you was ripped away
A grip taking hold,
Like a cancer that grows,
Each piece of your body that it takesā
⢠The life they lost took a piece of the narratorās lover with it, which ultimately leads to her resenting him for it
āThough I know my heart would break,
Iād tell them put me back in itā
⢠Despite the pain of her resentment, he would still do it over again, (which is a common response to a trauma bond)
āI would not change it each time,
Heaven is not fit to house a love like you and Iā
⢠The relationship was difficult and messy; it was a far stretch from paradise. But he wouldnāt change a thing about it because of the love he felt for her, and because of the life they almost had together
Just a song interpretation/theory that gives this beautiful piece a higher power for me
ā¦Thanks for hearing me out.
