It fascinates me a little that so many people went in for Astarion when the suave, manipulative, dangerous but secretly traumatized persona was all they knew him for, but then lost interest when the mask came off and they saw the strange, goofy, uncertain mess of a man underneath. Because honestly, my experience was the exact opposite of that.
