 He wastes no time delving within the matter ; a twitch of the snout, eager eyes & austerity fortifies. They’re no heartless, that’s for sure– which is neither good thing or bad. Pesky foes, STILL leaving their mark with the remnants of a fallen dictator. A destruction of harmony, it humors them. ( they learn no lessons ) Their mocking THUMPS !  at his ear drums even after the passing of a couple months. & while it’s not Sora’s war to TREAD… he’ll certainly lend a hand ( er, paw ) when needed !

     “They’re scavengers; it’s in their nature. They’re not the wisest bunch, though. They always return to the same places.”

   The regal feline padded back slightly to give Sora his room again. However, a large paw was lifted to rustle the cub’s spiky mane. The youngster’s immediate rise to attention at the mere mention of hyenas reminded him quite strongly of his own reckless days as a cub. While Goofy might advise against ‘meddling’, Simba was more than happy to allow Sora to join him in chasing those slobbering, mangy, stupid poachers from dawn until dusk. Hey, Zazu was right sometimes.

     “So how ‘bout you and I stop lion around and show ‘em what happens when they trespass in the Pride Lands? We ate an antelope near the watering hole this morning. I expect the scent will have attracted them back.”

“Simba,” The Lioness spoke, making her way to her mate, frowning. “You shouldn’t be so hard on Kovu.” She sat next to him, giving him a soft nudge with her shoulder blades. “Give him a chance.” Looking up to her mate, her green eyes stared into his. “He may not be like the rest of the Outsiders.”

   The King’s ear swiveled toward his Queen’s voice, a long sigh of pent up exasperation leaving his maw. “Nala, he has potential--- I can see it. But, he was groomed by Zira... How can I trust him?” His tail twitched with this internal dilemma, gaze lifting to meet his beloved mate. He always considered her to be a much wiser lion than him.

Kopa smirked as he crouched down low, he licked his lips and crawled towards his target. He had no idea he was about to be pounced on. He grinned and attempted to pounce " gotcha!" He said if successful.

     The King was fully aware of his son’s antics, which was why Simba was twitching his tail nonchalantly for Kopa to practise with. Upon feeling the little one’s paws come down on his tufted tail, the great lion rolled over onto his side, feigning mortal injury.

     “Oh nooooo, I’ve been defeated by the mighty beast. The paaaain!”

  Her russet eyes remain downcast before feeling the gentle nudge of her father to which her  face lit up INSTANTLY.  ‘ Really ? Ya mean it ? Yeah, let’s go ! ‘

   Satisfied she had listened to him, but certain this wouldn’t be the last lecture he’d have to give his headstrong daughter, Simba nodded. Honestly, he was overly protective of her, but she meant the world to him. He just couldn’t bear to lose her like Kopa.

   “Very well then, let an old pro show ya how it’s done.” Mimicking his own father’s lesson, the King padded down Pride rock, flicking his tail to gesture Kiara to follow him out into the grassland. “I’ll race ya. Think ya can you beat your old dad?”

     The feline is naturally wary of the strange human, but she was merely a cub. No threat to an adult lion. His whiskers twitch, amber eyes observing her gentle gesture. The King lowers his mighty head for her.
