Couple of quick sketch commissions for an awesome buddy of mine. I got a new screen tablet and these helped me practice using it. May want to revisit/re-draw these in the future

First piece of Inktober! Here's to hoping I sharpen some skills and stick to it this year :)

I woke up too early today so I decided to doodle these gentlemen with their fancy collars (except for Vanek the dude in the middle he’s probably no gentleman). The old man to the right, Sidney, is just super fun to draw. And finally, a plot twist: Illari is one-eyed.

It took me like 10 days and over 15 hours to finish this it feels like it’s been ages since I finished an actual painting, so I apparently forgot how to. Excuse me while I go binge play video games for 10 more days to recuperate.

Couple of warm-up doodles. Old revamped OC Illari and Vannie in a BDO AU

“But I won’t cry for yesterday, There’s an ordinary world, Somehow I have to find” [Duran Duran/ RED cover] Quick doodle of Vannie the main OC because I sense an art block coming. I tried to limit my time to one hour and not get caught up in refining everything.  Here is a rare Vanek wearing a different, out-of-character outfit that he’d probably like.

Can’t believe I never drew Vash the Stampede till now, so here’s a quickie of him. He’s one of my all-time faves<3  I bet it’s his spikey hair that kept me from drawing him all this time

Lighting practice/study of Cassandra. I’ve always liked this dork. I replayed DA:I just to romance her because I romanced Josie first xD

Typically, realism is not my thing and I obviously fail at it but I felt like a one hour photo study would benefit me right now. I mainly did this study to improve lighting/light sources.    Credit to photographer Selivanova Olga and model Pavel Patrushev. Photo here.

3. What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?Vanek was actually pretty close to his dad! His dad was his role model and did his best to put aside family time to spend with him.6. Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?Yes, seeing as he has a touch of PTSD he is always dreaming of himself failing a mission, dying, or losing friends (or people in general) due to some nonexistent mistake he made. 12.In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?Good question, but it was probably while trying to hack into a system with his life hanging in the balance. He probably went berserk and yelled at everything and everyone after that though.19. What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?Vanek had very few romantic relationships, or maybe it’d be more accurate to say he had none at all so none were really ruined. A flaw of his would be how much of an ignoramus he is. The dude is very occupied with knowledge and science that most times he lets it consume his life and thus he gives little attention to relationships. Perhaps it’s a defense mechanism. On the bright side he would probably be willing to change that should the chance for a relationship come along. 35.How does your character behave around people they like?Despite his grumpy personality, he actually behaves quite calmly and nicely if he’s comfortable around someone. Once his grumpiness and initial disagreeableness is accepted by others, Vanek is pretty chill and overprotective of those he likes (not that he’d admit such a thing mind you). Teasing is also very common if it was first initiated by someone, as well as a huge amount of sass.36. How does your character behave around people they dislike?Boy, I’m glad you asked. He gets very defensive, sassy, tense, and if you thought “grumpy” you guessed right. As much as he can tune out others, he finds it hard to ignore people he dislikes, or who intentionally annoy or disgust him. At times can be easily provoked. It would take a lot to provoke him to physically fight someone, but he can yell at people and tease them all day long.Thanks a ton, this was so much fun! C:

What I have been working on after a long and deadly art block

I forgot how to draw I think (yes I am still alive,barely), so I decided to doodle as a warm up for some painting. Here are some OC’s : A younger version of the grumpy Vanek before his face got messed up, his arch-nemesis buddy Maxine in the lower right. Then there’s a couple of Mass Effect OC’s I made on a whim, Asari and Quarian dudes who are yet to be named but I love them anyway.

Update: My poor old gaming laptop wouldn’t run Mass Effect: Andromeda no matter what so I decided to put some savings to good use and ordered a gaming desktop. Can’t wait to try drawing on it as well! C: In the meantime, have some doodles of my Ryder with his original hairstyle (which I can tell won’t be in the game’s character creator, at least not yet). Trying to practice drawing more and not focusing so much on painting.

Also good lord where did my motivation go? Please come back from the war
