I'm just saying, if you're going to worldbuild magic being a "raw, primal force, akin to and interweaving with nature itself" you gotta explain to me why animals don't use it
I know the normal answer is "they just aren't smart enough for it" but idk I've seen enough media where a character uses a spell in a moment of brain-off panic ilI feel like animals could probably stumble into a spell or two like, accidentally
Also how funny would it be to see a completely normal regular bear cast magic missile outta nowhere
Also there is no way ravens wouldn't figure out spells, tbh
They're smart fuckin birds, I believe in them
Either through observing or just figuring shit out ravens could 100% learn how to cast spells I'm sure of it
Dogs can also cast Magic Missile but every time they do the projectile is shaped like a bone or a stick and they chase after it
A challenger approaches.
quick whatâs ur opinion on tea. everyone who sees this is obligated to answer in some way
Yeah you're right. It WOULD be pretty fucked up if you were a swan but you were raised by ducks and you grew up never seeing another swan or even knowing that such a thing as a swan even existed so you just thought you were a duck with something super wrong with it.
Who would win

*through gritted teeth* the world is GOOD. people are kind. Humans are NOT inherently selfish. you will make it through this year. recovery is possible. people you don't know yet will love you. You are going to do things you can't even imagine right now. You are going to read a rlly good book. You are going to eat some rlly good food. You are going to experience joy again. Things can get better. Situations can change. You can choose to be kinder. The world can change for the better.

Happy Valentineâs Day, or Friend Day as we say in Finland, hope you have a good one. *chu*

Situation that happened in class this semester that was so funny I immediately sketched it out in my notes
itâs actually really easy to satisfy audiences with Good Representation. you canât depict someone struggling with their Otherness because that portrays it in a bad light but you have to depict them struggling with their Otherness because if you donât, then youâre romanticizing how hard it is to be Othered. be super careful not to depict anything that might be adjacent to a common stereotype but if you go too far to avoid all stereotypes, then youâre still building the characters around stereotypes, which is a stereotype in its own way. if your storyline uses tropes, then itâs cliche, but if it avoids tropes, then itâs inauthentic. if you lampshade any of this, then youâre speaking down to your audience but if you donât acknowledge this, youâre also speaking down to your audience. this is all really easy stuff i donât know why people donât get it.
forgot The Most Important thing. you absolutely CANNOT make them perfect because that dehumanizes them, but if you give them flaws? hoooo boyâŠletâs just say, you do *not* want to give them flawsâŠ
my mother is playing pikmin and yelling at them in the exact tone of voice she uses for me and my siblings so we go into fight or flight every time. we thought initially that this meant she regarded the pikmin as akin to her children, but I now fear sheâs always viewed us as pikmin
hi your post reads like a poem to me
i do have to say that no matter how shitty any sort of media is or how shitty your own creations are. always remember
