blorbofication to me is when you love a character in such a laser focus way that you somewhat detach them from the narrative from which they are inserted and treat them in a way roughly similar to how you'd treat an oc for which you still have no story and just like to put them in situations just for fun. which there's nothing wrong with btw, it's just that it can easily lead to people forgetting the character engine in a narrative and not just a barbie doll

the worst part of summer is that people get sooo comfortable expressing their disgust at having to see other people’s bodies. they’re always complaining about wrinkly old men at the nude hot springs or fat women in bikinis at the beach. I hate that shit. if you’re not capable of being normal about bodies you personally don’t find attractive, just turn your head to look at something else! and if you’re not smart enough to do that, then at least do the rest of us the courtesy of suffering in silence, because we don’t wanna hear your weird comments. thanks.

me as a teenager: man it sucks to have no privacy or autonomy but i guess its for a good reason. when i turn 18 i will realise how young i was and understand why they did all that.

me as an adult: teenagers are an oppressed class, their abuse is normalised and systemic and they need to start killing people

You could see Sam fighting for every inch in that Wicander scene

He knew the "correct" decision in that moment, the one that would save his life

He also knew it was not what the character would believe he would do

But now, wicander has killed a woman in cold blood, and for no great pay off either, just his life - just for his sake

He couldve done more to pit the tachonis and the halovar against each other if he had died, he couldve martyred himself

And now, Sam is gonna have to do the work of "how will wicander recover from such a truly selfish act", given what he, in all his innate goodness, believes
