1. Never. She had too many threats to her physical and mental safety to even consider any kind of emotional intimacy, let alone romance. The Inquisition was the first time she ever really felt safe.
2. Skyhold’s teeny Chantry room. It’s usually deserted and serves as a reminder of what she believes in and what she’s left behind - the giant statue of andraste aesthetic is a distinctly southern thing.
3. She has so many! It’s a toss up between the first time she saw Fenris after the lyrium branding - when he had no idea who she was - and the day she discovered her magic. Or, the day magic discovered her. People died, her father included, due to the storm she inadvertently created.
4. She doesn’t hold any material items near and dear - she knows better, knows how easy it is to lose everything. Even the coin that Cullen gave her is not something she treasures, though she keeps it with her. However, her vallaslin is something she does hold dear, at least the chin and throat markings. She had them match her brother’s brands, and it’s a promise she made to find him, no matter what.
5. Not much, honestly. She isn’t merry by any means, and a wryly amused smile is usually the best anyone can do, even Varric or Dorian. However, the only memorable time she laughed out loud was something Fenris said out of the corner of his mouth - one of his dry witty rejoinders.
6. Just Fenris. He’s older than her, and the last time they were together regularly was when she was young, but hes her last remaining family and he is very dear to her.
7. Dorian. Of all her close friends, he’s the one who understands her complicated feelings regarding Tevinter, and while they dont always agree on magic restrictions, she deeply enjoys their debates.
8. Both? Rainie always starts with a plan, she never goes in without thorough research and a defined set of actions - but she is always prepared for everything to go tits up and is very capable of managing change and navigating chaos. While she uses her emotions as the primary method of determining how to act, she is not impulsive and barely anything can throw her off kilter.
9. Depends on the situation. She prefers to dress up - has a specific aesthetic, and her mission to dress like a tevinter magister is a way for her to reclaim her power - but doesn’t mind if that aesthetic has to be interrupted, and will usually choose practicality over fashion. Even at her most disheveled she still has this air of poise and dignity - and a certain dark beauty.
10. Her greatest influence was her time with Magister Ahriman. He was awful to her, but she learned, and would often take great pains to study on her own in his library in the dead of night. Clan Lavellan was good to her, but she didn’t learn much from their Keeper, at least not in terms of magic. A lot of what she knew before the conclave she had never actually put into practice, but having both templars and experienced mages around regularly made a safe place for her to learn quickly.
