Successful Ebola vaccine provides 100% protection in trial
An experimental Ebola vaccine seems to confer total protection against infection in people who are at high risk of contracting the virus, according to the preliminary results of a trial in Guinea that were announced today and published1 in The Lancet. They are the first evidence that a vaccine protects humans from Ebola infection.
“We believe the world is on the verge of an efficacious Ebola vaccine,“ Marie-Paule Kieny, the World Health Organization’s assistant director-general for health systems and innovation, said during a press conference in Geneva, Switzerland, today.

Good read! We aren’t surprised that this drug is now happening but we’re so happy for those who are suffering from high cholesterol related diseases and illnesses (there are lots). As medicine evolves with our evolving needs, we’re going to be needing more new medicines to target old age illnesses. It’s cool to see these medicines finally coming into fruition. Imagine a medicine to treat cancers more efficiently or diabetes or the like. It’s an amazing time to live in!

We, at Varco Staffing, just want to remind you guys that every step in the right direction is an achievement. There are times when you truly cannot sprint to the finish line. There are times when you have a significant stumble that leaves you crawling at best but, you won't be crawling for long. While you're down, look at what's around you and find what you can use to your advantage. Keep crawling and use that time to plan the most efficient way to sprint and hit your marks once you get up. Just keep moving.
