With this, I present the final act.

Tell your kids things
tell your kids about *all* medical issues that run in the family, even "embarrassing" ones like reproductive or bowel issues. your kids deserve to know about the risk factors to their health.
using "what were YOU doing at the devils sacrament" to mean "yeah i made an embarrassing reference but you understood it which is also embarrassing" is very funny to me
my favorite part is that absolutely nobody says this except here. so if you use it in public, it's a dead giveaway that you spent the last ten years on tumblr. but then again, they recognized it, which means they were at the devil's sacrament
Я должен ЭТО выложить и сюда тоже!
Gin was really onto something here.
Again, we've got a message that is superficially true, if a bit cynical: the abstract ideal of love really does have a glamor that real life does not. And in Gin's case, love led him down a truly ugly path full of murder and betrayal. Some might think that love is some pure connection between souls, but they've never seen the government's soldiers assault your love, and fragment her very soul. They didn't leave their love behind to shred their own souls, killing and manipulating on behalf of evil in the uncertain hope that maybe, one day, they can help their love put their soul back together.
And yet...that still has an element of hope, of idealization, doesn't it? He says "those who claim to know". Like there's something in him believing that somewhere, somehow, a person might truly know what love is, and find that beauty.

Can you imagine how the clones' speech patterns change once they are out of Kamino? Not just the slang they use, but in general how they speak. At some point you can start to differ the different battalions based on their speech. This is even more notable when it comes to the Commanders or other clones who deal more closely with their generals. Rex is distraught when he realises that he sounds like a teenager. Cody just proceeds to sound even more like a wisened old Commander despite being the middle child. Fox sounds like a tired retail manager trying to calm down a Karen.
oh but he would.
i think it'd be funny if using the hiraishin actually had massive consequences for tobirama but he just never mentions it.
izuna: remember that time you almost killed me with your insane jutsu that literally alters space and time? can't believe that has no negative side effects when my dojutsu my body's born to have is slowly making me blind and-
tobirama: i never said that. i said the side effects are mitigated by the necessity of the jutsu.
izuna: what side effects?
tobirama: i do see the shinigami whenever i use it and he looks increasingly angry.
izuna:
tobirama: also sometimes i vomit blood.
Fox: We have a lot more in common. We both are shunned by our own people. The GAR hates us Corries. The Jedi "hates" the Síth. The Senate hate us clones. The republicans the separatists. Where does the circle end? Nowhere. Obi-Wan might be the best negotiator but he's send to war with Cody. For that talent? Unfitting. I would have had him in the Senate but they don't deserve him and he's a bit dense if you look at Anakin.
Count Dooku: how did you even get into this ship? I made it sure it was secured.
Fox: no..no..listen to me. I'm not finished here. Anakin. Anakin is the embodiment of a war prodigy but he does seem to lean to your side. Doesn't he? But foremost, I agree with you on the Jedi council. Not trustworthy. They do praise themselves to help everyone but had their noses deep in businesses that have nothing to do with them or don't require to believe in some force osik to deal with problems but real actions. And the only progress so far, as I traced back, is you.
Fox taking a sip from a bottle of moonshine: And no one knows this but I. You and me. Shouldn't we be colleagues? Weren't you that guy that ordered us? No wonder we fit so well. We weren't fabricated for the Jedi....no it was all you.
Count Dooku: And how did you come to this conclusion?
Fox: Nala Se.
Count Dooku: she...?
Fox: we're planning on burning the Senate down. Are you in?
Count Dooku: from the very start, Commander.
I love Huyang, but if I could change one thing about his character I think Star Wars should have mentioned his age way more often.
Think about it for a second: Huyang is the oldest character we know in the show.
I guess you could argue that the Father is older or that Bentu is older, but can we even count those? They are basic gods in the Star Wars Universe, Huyang however it's "just" a droid. Nothing make him more special that C3-PO or R2-D2, yet he's older than Yoda.
In fact he was Yoda professor at some point. Huyang teach Yoda how to build his lightsaber.
Honestly I think it would be a lot more fun if he lost notion of time on a regular basis, like I wish he treated Yoda (and Ahsoka on the Ahsoka's series) as kids both for comedy relief and to show how many centuries older than everyone he really is.
Imagine if in The Gathering arc he briefly interact with Yoda like "Oh, young Yoda! Bringing another of your fellow younglings for build their sabers I see" as if he did it for the first time yesterday. And probably would feel like it was yesterday! Come on, my grandma thinks I was 12 last year, I sure Huyang would mess up dates was well!
And the younglings all being confused like"Did he just called Yoda young?". It would be fun and cute!

was reminded of that youtube channel that records footage of that bridge that scalps trucks today. one of the fascinating developments that's happened since i last heard about it is that, in one of their many attempts to stop the trucks from being can-opened, they installed a traffic light that detects when a vehicle that's over the allowed height is coming and turns red so the driver can stop and hopefully notice the signage all around that's screaming "YOUR VEHICLE IS OVERHEIGHT TURN AROUND" and avoid an accident. However as a result sometimes drivers see the light turning yellow and IMMEDIATELY start flooring it to avoid having to stop, ensuring that the roof of their truck just gets fucking annihilated instantly. Really beautiful stuff you should check it out
the comments have me in tears
@rogue-bard
It DOES have a sign. It turns on when it detects something too tall for the bridge. It even flashes. And the traffic lights will go red to get people to stop when it detects an over height vehicle so they read the signs. (note this lovely example where the lights are red, because the truck thought it was better than the lights)
every time I see this post I've forgotten how clearly signposted the canopener bridge is, and every time it hits me like a truck (hitting the canopener bridge and getting the top of its trailer ripped asunder)
