Guess who is finally writing again? 🥳 i lowered my goal to 850w and i've been able to reach it most days since i picked up a habit challenge. It's the 15th day, 7:40am and I've already passed that goal for the day and I'm considering writing a bit more so i can finish the last scene today still.
I think what helped the most is that i switched back to write in my 1st tongue, hell i know I'll have practically no readers or kudos and even less comments exactly because i choose not to write in english, but it was starting to feel a job. I was too obsessed with making every little sentence perfect and that slowed me down, taking almost 2hrs for 400w? That made me upset and i stopped writing for a few months until i decided that i just wanna write my stories, and if i wasn't happy with the quality of my work whilst using English then I just had to switch back to PT. The first few days? Bad, i couldn't connect with my own native language, but it got better, and it's getting better every day.
Now beyond writing the current wip (a female Severus/James oneshot), i'm also outlining a multi chapter fix and will start to editing the one i finished a few days ago.
My life is still a mess and college is still trying to kill me, but at least i can say that i'm happy with my writing, and that on its own is extremely important to me
Here the 100 days sheet, beyond word count i also track time and wpm on it. Obviously, this is just the drafting part, i'm still thinking of how to track the wordcount of individual wips once they're edited... I don't have a link to this specific sheet, but i found it on pinterest and i also regret not choosing the kitten version😺
