Hi hello you’re now in possession of one Mason Marchment.

- he’s from a hockey family. His dad Bryan was an NHL player& served as a scout and part time coach for the Sharks. His cousin Kennedy plays for the Montreal Victoire.

- he played with McDavid in the OHL

- he went undrafted & spent time in the ECHL

- he had really awful skate bite & thought it was just normal to be in pain when skating.

- he took a year off to work with a skating coach to fix this (here’s an awesome article about that)

- he’s still not the strongest skater and regularly gets himself in situations

- he won a Calder cup with the Toronto Marlies in 2018

- he played two seasons with the panthers and three with the stars

- he gets extra scrutiny from the refs because he has problem child status

- they keep calling embellishment on him but what they don’t realize is that he really IS dramatically falling because he is not capable of staying upright

- seriously his old skating coach described him as an out of balance marionette so liek flailing around is just his thing pls respect it

- he’s very good friends with Jake Oettinger. He was on Jake’s mask and they had secret meetings before every game

- he has historically had very bad injury luck at climate pledge arena :( please sage the place before letting him on ice 👍

Unfortunately I do think tagging non-hockey related posts about amulets with “John Tavares” is an absolutely hilarious bit. I don’t even follow the Leafs I don’t know why I get such a kick out of it but it’s so so funny to me every time

I cannot stop thinking about the fact that benny and matthew probably were in calgary dreaming about winning the cup together and then sam went to florida and it was “oh man, good luck out there” and THEN THE TRAAAAAADE AND NOW THEY ARE CHAMPS TOGETHER!!!!!! THEY PLAYED ALMOST THE WHOLE SEASON AND PLAYOFFS ON THE SAME LINE!!!!!! THEY DID ITTTTTT!!!!!
