SPOILERS -- Hi, It looks like you've read some spoilers on S4. I read that the snow scene between Nick and June wasn't in the first eight episodes. I don't know if it's true but if it's the case, what is your point of view about this meeting? Do you think it happens in Canada? -- It seems June will try to reconnect with Luke E7. Personally I hate love triangles. I'm afraid hat June uses Nick out of interest to throw it away then. -- Thank you for yours answers. Sorry for my poor English.
I also hate love triangles so I feel you on that. And my personal headcanon is still kind of the same because of what happens in the testaments... I think june will reconnect with luke because they still love each other and they need to at least “try.” And I think june will try to put Gilead behind her, which includes unfortunately trying to put nick behind her.
But I think june won’t be able to acclimate back to canada and simply testifying against the waterfords will not be enough closure to her. Especially with hannah still being in gilead. Ep. 9 is called “progress” and the finale is called “the wilderness,” so in one of those I think june will go back to gilead and she reconnects with nick there.
I originally thought that june would reconnect with nick around ep. 8 to try and convince him to defect and come to canada to testify, but it doesn’t look like that is the case. So now I think they reconnect in the finale, though they might in ep. 9?
but these are the options that I think could happen:
she convinces nick to defect and take a plea deal so he can see holly and then work for the resistance from canada in exchange for not being a war criminal
her meeting with nick leads to nick being captured and tuello forces him to take a plea deal or be tried
she meets with nick and she tells him her plans for the rebellion and that she needs a commander on the inside to help her, and he secretly helps her from his position
because in the testaments nick is “so far underground he needs a breathing tube” (I can’t remember the direct quote), june could convince nick to cause a catastrophe as a commander that then forces him to go underground
With the title of the finale being “the wilderness” I really think season 4 could end with both june and nick being underground or on the run, though idk if they would be together or separate.
The description for the season says june’s drive for rebellion and justice threatens to ruin her most cherished relationships, so I could see her wanting to go back to gilead pretty much pissing everyone off. But hulu has also teased nick’s “loyalty” this season even though we know he can’t tell june no. So if you combine those two marketing techniques, june will go back to gilead and nick will make a choice between gilead and june and pick june definitively.
