A South Carolina jury on Monday found a store owner not guilty of murder in the 2023 shooting of a Black 14-year-old.

apparently the murder happened in 2023 after doing some research but the murderer has been found not guilty.

black children get murdered and become victims of hate crimes every fucking day. this is ridiculous

im posting this here despite the website being extremely white centered, I want people to understand how in this country it's basically ok to murder and victimize black people, especially women and children in the name of "self defense" and white America will reward you for your antiblackness.

Not saying anything nobody's said before, but the way Fallout is a foundationally anti-capitalist story that got turned into funkopop sci-fi pastiche slop for morons is painful to the point of brilliance. Makes its points about greed and power that much more salient.

People are, years later, still writing paragraph after paragraph on this post to tell me I'm full of shit. About the game where half of everything is plastered in conspicuous branding, the plot of the first game is caused by shady corporate scheming, the guys who caused all this shit to happen are businessmen from centuries ago, and the most iconic line in the franchise comes from a speech about military expansionism for resources to fuel economic function. That speech is the first verbal statement of the series. The first point of contact period in the entire series is an advertisement, shot panning out to reveal it is displayed on a television playing a series of commercials, and that this television is in a completely destroyed urban center, yet hauntingly continues to play.

What do you think this represents? What do you think the authors of this work may have been attempting to communicate through these images? Do you think it was simple coincidence? See me after class, so I can kill you.

sort of frustrating to see so many of my peers reposting rhetoric which boils down to "the new bathroom ban is bad because now trans men have to go into the women's and what if *gasp* a terf thinks he's the sort of tranny she's afraid of!?!?!?"

like that's cool and all but I have to go to the mens and am at heightened risk of assault or worse. no but you're right it would be worse to be mistaken for someone like me yeah that would be worse for you i guess.

do you know when people challenge me in a bathroom it's not a mistake? that they're correct? do you know how scary that is? that they know what I am and are willing to use the full weight of the law to ruin my life? that there is no defence I can present that is good enough?
