Mikhail’s face pulled into a smile at his dear friend’s teasing, “Please, we both know this is far more your domain than it is mine” he replied, an edge of playfulness sneaking into his tone. It was rare that he spoke about himself and normally he would have brushed off her question, but he felt that Tori was someone that he could trust - especially as his troubles weren’t really so troublesome. “Today is my last first day here. Vitoria lifted her chin at his concession that student government was her domain. She never felt the need for recognition, and usually preferred to be the quiet voice commanding change or the puppet master pulling strings. Not quite seen or heard, but powerful nonetheless.“Yes, it is. But where would I be without you and your invaluable support in my endeavors?” She teased, holding out her hands as if she could better share her gratitude with him. Her smile dropped into a more thoughtful line at his honest words, however, and she folded her hands in front of her. “Did you have to remind me of that?” Vitoria asked with a sigh. “Don’t make me sad when we have a full year ahead of us.”Â
