i have another ask coming in about 1 and 49 so i'm going to save those BUT!! here we go

18. i LOVE research!! honestly, the one requiring the most research is the one coming up next - i've been neck deep in trying to figure out how to manipulate ancient greek wedding customs into something that fits for my characters. i also think a ton went into "nobody knows how to get back home," which i wrote ages ago - but i had to figure out a lot of comic lore about the red room, so we were in a weird weird weird space there.

48. okay so i'm going to do this one by fandom because it feels a little unfair to compare my girls:

in xena fics, i think my favorite will always be gabrielle. i get her on levels that i didn't know were possible, and since she's both a writer and very in touch with her own feelings, i get to play around with language in ways i wouldn't get to do with other characters. and i always get the chance to put her in weird situations. gabrielle's never had a normal day in her life.

for marvel: this may surprise people, but i've always preferred writing natasha to everyone else. i got my start writing black widow, and i miss her OFTEN. similarly i do have a great time writing yelena. there's something so dry about the way she delivers things, and her dialogue's always come super easily to me because she just has such a distinct voice to begin with.
