This is magenta, and not pink. Unlike pink, magenta doesn’t actually exist. Our brain just invents magenta to serve as what it considers a logical bridge between red and violet, which each exist at opposite ends of a linear spectrum.

Here's the thing about Tony Stark...

He's a fuck up. And a massive one at that. Almost every movie Iron Man is in is about Tony trying to correct some major lapse in judgement he's made. He has almost literally paved the way to hell with good intentions.

And that's fine. He's dealt with it the best he can, with all the knowledge in the world and not nearly enough social acumen to show the people around him the larger picture he sees. He got to redeem himself by doing the thing he's been trying so desperately to accomplish since he put on the suit: make the world safer.

The way I see it, putting Tony on a pedestal does a disservice to the character. He's a dude who did something great, in spite of his best efforts.
