Scrolling through tiktok, I found it funny when:
People are okay with shipping Tomarry/VolHar, yet frown upon Snarry. (This is not to look down on/hate on a ship, I just find it FUNNY that some people are hating on Snarry. I am 100% fine with Tomarry and)
Several things I have heard them say about Snarry being:
- "Severus was 31 and Harry was 11 when they met."
Yes, and Voldemort was 56, Harry was 1 when they met. Your point is?
- "Severus bullied Harry"
Yes, Voldemort k!ll his parents. Your point is?
- "Severus was a bad person and a racist."
Severus is no longer a racist, though. He just hates everyone equally.
Harry can be whatever the fuck fic writers wanted him to be, even adult. Thank you very much.
- "Age gap. He could be Harry's father."
Tomarry/VolHar had a 50 years age gap. Voldy could be the boy's grandfather.
- "It's teacher/students, it unehthical."
First of all, it is not real.
Second of all, millions Teacher/Student AU, sometimes they are just there for the thrill. Because it's not real.
Third of all, Tomarry is Mass Murderer/Students. Tell me how that is better? How is that more ethical?
- "Snape is a creep for Harry's mom."
First of all. That's not canon. What's a canon is James Potter was a bully and he bully Severud because he wanted Lily. And that was more fucked up.
Second of all, if his feelings are not pure, then a Patronus is impossible. What fucked up fanfic did you read to call him a creep?
Finally, I want to say that Severus literally redeemed for his sin by protecting Harry while protecting Draco while providing information for the Order while deceiving Voldemort. He is not a creep, nor a simp or whatever names those people on tiktok call him.
In conclusion, they are fictional characters. It's okay to ship whoever as long as we can differentiate between real life and fictions.
Plus, it's fandom etiquette to respect people's ship. You can say what you like and dislike in YOUR SPACE, and people coming into your space have to respect that.
Dont come into others' video about Snarry and leave a comment saying "Hell nah" or something of the sort. It's impolite and unnecessary.
