as to where the boatem lives – they don't live together :( pearl lives in a sunken shipwreck, impulse(walrus) has his little island and doesn't leave the coast often, while scar grian and mumbo are mostly nomadic. though they do get together and chill at pearl's from time to time.

he’s friends with c!tommy but so much has happened to tommy that its hard for them to be on the same wavelength anymore. (he tries to help, but he doesn’t really understand) 

he likes c!bad and c!sapnap a lot, to the point of basically inverse adoption, asserting the idea he relates to them. and they don’t seem to dislike him at all, but they’re also so much more focused on their own issues right now, and no one has explained anything to him, really explained anything 

so yeah, now he’s gotten this idea to become a knight, to ask eret to help explain, but even eret (who likes eryn, it seems, but is just being careful) has been scorned too much to trust easily. 

he’s trying. trying to watch, ask questions, to learn, and i think you’re right-- it’s so he can have a place on this server, so he can help people, somehow.
