Contrary to popular belief, Scott's finale episode (Empires SMP) actually solidifies and, sort of, confirms my Alinar and Connell physically being Scott and Xornoth theory for me lol
So I, uh, I ended up making a refined and updated version of my The Clash of the Great Stags analysis.
[original post here]
I don't think Alinar actually died. I think when Aeor warped his memory he woke up as Scott (Alinar had probably been grieving for at the very least a few decades before Aeor got tired of waiting and just went like; BLIP! Gone)
Same with Xornoth being Connell, er- what's left of him after the corruption took over at least
Connell's corruption happened similar to how Sausage's did, but he hadn't had the backup plan, so it resulted in his soul getting trapped in limbo, the corruption taking complete control over his body (he couldn't have been perma-dead, as evident to Scott still being alive at the time)
Scott started to slowly regain his real memories over time once Xornoth showed up again. which is why we have scenes like - despite not knowing he even had a brother in the beginning of the series - Scott yelling, "If it weren't for you, mom and dad would still be here!" During the battle in which Xornoth was locked away inside a crystal
The brothers are Archfey. I've theorized this for a while now, but it's relevant so I'm putting it here. (The way both Xornoth and Scott's powers spread are very similar to that of an Archfey, plus this clip just screams Archfey to me)
This means both the brothers are tall. Xornoth is the 2nd tallest on the server (only bested by the 12ft ocean goddess herself) and just ever so slightly taller than Scott (horns not included in statistics)
which makes this clip where Scott calls shrub cute 100x better
This also means that the brothers are immortal (as in they cannot die from old age. However they can still perma-die if they get too badly injured)
something, something, immortal Flower Husbands, something, something
Agh- sorry, back to stag lore stuff–
Ik Xornoth called Scott his little brother in the finale, but they're twins. Xornoth is just the older twin.
Part of the story says:
"After making his way down the caves, he found his brother surrounded by the remains of the missing people and strange symbols on the walls and the floor. Alinar no longer could see his brother but just the monster that he had become,"
and Scott yells at Xornoth during their fight
"If it wasn't for you, mom and dad would still be here!"
did 2 of those missing people just so happen to be the boys' parents? or was that a separate incident?~
Connell was corrupted. We've seen with Sausage how memories from when people are under the influence of the corruption are incredibly fuzzy, if not nonexistent
Connell was long gone by the time Xornoth came to Empires, the corruption fully taken over their body. But when Scott drove the Rune Blade into his own chest, Connell was released from Exor's grasp.
That was Scott's Xornoth there with him in his afterlife~
